“Lovely Gardens”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

Pinjore Gardens is a nestled between Chandigarh and Kalka and a must visit for those going onward to Shimla. There are fountains and water bodies and though the summer is not the right time to visit , we did spend some time here. Well laid out with a distict mughal architecture, it is a popular venue for tourists and locals alike. Lots of eating places inside and at the entrance. The most surprising thing i noticed is the large number of bats in the tall trees.

“The best garden i have even been to”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

We had been there in Dec 13, it was very cold and my wife was shivering she had not expected such a cold weather in Himachal it was our first visit to Himachal so we had stayed in Parwanoo and then came to know about this garden in Pinjore so we took a drive to the garden the lights in the garden were amazing and the garden had been converted from a ancient beautiful fort with white marbles. The music fountains were adding a soothing feeling while walking in the garden. My wife felt very good and then because she was feeling real cold so we thought to take some hot coffee avaliable in the food court in the garden the steam coffee was very good and the cold was making it tasty too. Couples can just take a romanctic walk and enjoy the green nature with beautifully decorated lights. All together a beautiful experience.

“Attractive Garden”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

During our Shimla trip, we stopped our car to visit the Pinjore garden because this garden lies 22 km. from Chandigarh on the Ambala-Shimla road. So if you make your trip for Shimla by road then don't miss to visit it.This garden is an example of the mughal garden style. It has been laid in seven terraces with the main gate of the garden opening into the highest first terrace is "Shish Mahal" has a palace built in Rajasthani Mughal style. The second terrace is "Jal Mahal".The third terrace has cypress trees and beautiful flowerbeds leading to dense groves of fruit trees. A little zoo adjoins the garden also. Well maintained & beautifully illuminated the whole garden complex with colourful fountains all along the garden makes our mind fresh. Special festival such as mango festival in June & July is major attraction at the garden.

“Main attraction of Pinjore”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

Pinjore gardens are located close to Panchkula, approx 22kms from Chandigarh on the way to Shimla. It is built in the Rajasthani/ Mughal style in a terraced fashion.
There is a water body and fountains all across the garden. Also, there is a mini zoo located in the garden premises. There are various cultural programmes organized in the garden premises from time to time. Also, when I last visited there was a local man playing a very melodious flute in the evening time ...
