We enjoyed our 6 nights in 'Walkers', and would highly recommend this as a place to stay. Lovely location, convenient for trips out to coast and elsewhere. Extremely comfortable accommodation and very hospitable hosts.

Beautiful setting in rolling countryside. A beautifully decorated, enormous room. Cereals, juice, fruit salad, breads and croissants in the room so you don't even need to leave for breakfast. Welcoming hosts but also complete privacy. Magazine Wood has all of these. We stayed just one night but Magazine Wood would be a fabulous, luxury base to explore the north Norfolk coast for longer. We hope to go back some day. Thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: We stayed in the garden room which has an outside patio

I don't think I can add anything to that except to say that you were lovely to have around!

Kind regards

From the friendly welcome to a wonderful room this Bed and Breakfast place is better than nearly any that we have stayed at before. The facilities offered e.g. breakfast which had all that one could want. We sat on the patio of our room which looked out to some spectacular countryside and felt that we were in no way bothered by feeling that we had to do or go anywhere, except to enjoy our own space and each other. Don't drive yourself crazy thinking that if you are going to this area, there may be a better place to stay - there isn't!

A really lovely review. Magazine Wood is not a five star hotel but we hope, just a great place to relax in style and get away from the world for a few days.

Kind regards

We recently spent 4 nights at Magazine Wood in the garden room named Coast . We would strongly recommend this b&b to anyone who wants a combination of high quality accommodation and the freedom / independence you normally get in self- catering .We really liked having breakfast in our room or on our terrace as early or late as we wished. There was a wide range of foods and drinks ( fruit salad was delicious in the hot weather we had then ).
We enjoyed the location and tranquillity and the proximity of the Pedars' way long distance footpath which passes the property and takes you into glorious unspoilt countryside .
The owners were discrete but friendly and ready to provide help if required .
The beds were comfortable , the rooms spacious and tastefully decorated . The bathroom was very well appointed with both bath and shower .
We would certainly want to return to Magazine Wood when we visit Norfolk again .
Due to poor mobile phone signal our phones didn't work so with hindsight we should have booked the restaurants in advance before leaving home .We loved The White Horse in Brancaster Staithe and were chuffed to notice it was mentioned in the Sunday Times last w/end as one of the best places to eat on the coast in the UK .And what a view at sunset !

Thank you for your kind comments. We have lived here 12 years and the sunsets still take our breath away at times!

We stayed for a night in the Garden Room, which was a beautifully-appointed and large bedroom with ensuite. Unlike many other B&Bs the focus here is on providing good quality accommodation and leaving the guests alone to enjoy it. Hence there isn't much service element to the offering or interaction with the owners - though they are available if needed. In particular, breakfasts are taken "any time" in the room - and if you are content with cereals/toast etc then then that is it...though you have the option of ordering cooked dishes at a £6 supplement.
Very high standard of accommodation and well-located in relation to the surrounding coast and Pedders Way. You can also "borrow" the owners' dogs for a walk if you haven't brought your own.
We were a bit disappointed with one of the recommended restaurants for evening meals (Rose & Crown at Snettisham) - so pick one of the others eg at Thornham or Brancaster Staithe....both of which looked great when we passed them.

We certainly intend to return at some point.

Room Tip: If you were on a longer stay you may prefer to be in the pair of detached rooms.

Thank you for your comments. The Garden room was the original room and we still love it and thanks for taking Maggie and Marmite for a walk (or did they take you?)

Kind regards
