Best Sunday lunch we have had in a restaurant/pub. Fab quality meat, well cooked veg and a beautiful Yorkshire of biblical proportions!! With the price of £6.95 per head for a main course, people will be queuing around the block once word gets out! Service outstanding in both the restaurant and bar, with a 'smileworthy' selection of good quality real ales. Well done to all involved!!!!

My husband and I went here for Sunday Lunch. Really quaint pub no frills just honest old building sympathetic left the way it should be. Old open fires bare original wood floors. Fab. Went upstairs to eat . Wow..... lunch we picked was lamb roast ...from the veg to the roast to the gravy to the Yorkshire puddings could not fault a single thing... wow your chef's certainly know how to cook a Sunday lunch.ten out of ten and at 6. 95 a bargain for such quality.

We visited this quirky pub as recommended by a trusted friend who lives local to area.
We had a great great New Years celebration and have since sampled the delights of the Sunday lunches and evening meals
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the bar / restaurant staff were very very nice and service was speedy with a freindly smiles all round.
We really enjoyed the home cooked food which was piping hot and of excellent quality and quantity ... Excellent value!!!!
The surroundings were calm and pleasant, the decoration was simple and extremely clean with fresh paint work..
It to showed us that there is a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes
The waitresses and bar staff were all nicely dressed and the chefs uniforms were dazzlingly white
It was a pleasure to visit this hidden treasure , we will certainly recommend this to all
The locals are very lucky to have such a community pub
( wish we had one like it )
That's all folks

Thank JOE C

We went to the restaurant as a last minute thing on New Year's Eve as we wanted to do something different. We managed to get a table at short notice (3 hours before we wanted to eat) and were more than impressed with the menu and value for money. The restaurant started to quickly fill up with families out celebrating and soon the tables were all full. We placed our order and waited in anticipation. Unfortunately there was a hitch with our food order and we waited an hour for our meal, but when the food arrived, wow it was amazing! The portions were enormous, with the hump burger and the caveman burger absolutely ridiculously large. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definitely recommend a visit here, but make sure you haven't eaten all week! The waitress did apologise for our wait and they removed our drinks from the final bill as a goodwill gesture, which we were more than happy with. We are visiting again in a couple of days for my hubby's birthday - so no more food between now and then LOL.
