I had been with my Family last year to visit the same. The view from the resort is brilliant.Scenatic view available from the terrace as well as your room balcony. The price is slightly on the higher side.Nevertheless you can wait for discounts through few sites.Staff courteous and good .Gives true glimpse of Khandala typically for parents with young kids who are constrained to resort during travel.

I stayed in May 2014 with family, for two nights. The room was very good. The staff was cordial and service was satisfactory. The food quality was very good. May be non-veg food could have had more variety. The swimming pool was good and clean. Overall a good experience. Only at the end, in spite of 2-3 calls, we couldn't get a person to come to the room to carry our luggage. So I had to take it myself. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all.

Stayed here about a month back. It has a real beautiful view facing your rooms .

Rooms are spacious but bit odd designed . bed was just okay . Nice balcony again facing the view.

staff was nice. very small reception area . restaurant & Bar okay . No place to stay for drivers , normally one expects dormitory accommodation for drivers . my driver had to go & stay in another lodge in nearby area .

Room Tip: ask for view facing rooms .

As an avid traveler around the world I want to give a well rounded review. I visited here just a few days back with my wife and baby. We got two nights for Rs. 16,000 with breakfast on Yatra.com in the Deluxe Room.

The direction to get here were easy, from using the GPS. Upon check in we were well greeted in a non AC lobby. Parking was plentiful and free.

Upon getting to our room we were blown away by the view in room 203! 5* view. Only problem is our AC was not working and it was a hot day! After a few hours waiting and a few calls later with no avail of getting it fixed. My wife, baby and I hit the pool for an hr. After returning at 6pm I called again and they said the AC man left:( We really didn't want to change rooms bc we were quite satisfied and had the baby in a stable mood. But with no AC and sweating we had to.

So they shifted us to room 209 and the view was 3* but we were happy to have AC. 1 hr later, I spotted a few cats in our AC compartment in our room fighting. I was shocked! About 5 staff came and got the cats out. They wanted to shift our room again but we didn't want to move again. Seriously the next room they tried to put us in smelled like a cat died in the AC vent, really! Each night as we slept we could hear cats making sounds as if they were in the room. Def a low blow to relaxation.

Room service is expensive. 250 for samosas, 180 for coffee, 550 for biryani, you get the point.

O yea, for a 5* hotel I was shocked that the place had several power outages through the day and they said its normal. But it didn't ruin the mood at all.

Our room was Deluxe and it only had two beds to be pushed together but very comfortable spring mattresses, sheets, and pillow 5*

I like the 2 complimentary water bottles each day, little fridge, and chocalates they brought to us at night.

The best complimentary shampoo smell and body wash gel I've ever used! And I was blown away that at 9pm they had room service visiting each room to see if we needed anything or wanted a room cleaning:) 5*

The pool was so tranquil with lush flowers and tranquil music but not enough seating to be set apart from others. Basically there are only 4-5 pool beds next to each other. But staff was amazing bring towels and room service brought out bath robes.

Dinner was buffet at Rs. 1,000 per person. Nice spread and worth it. Mutton, chicken, fish, and lots more of yummy food with excellent staff trying to really please you.

Overall, I would recommend this place. Here's why. In spite of everything that went wrong the staff went above and beyond to try to make things better. And they did! We really felt like they had very humble servants attitudes.

Really, everywhere we went with our baby stroller people staff were flying up to help lift up the steps. It was pretty 5* and the housekeeping staff, 5* all the way. I never had such great service ever!

However I gave you the full report in which I would appreciate if I was bringing my family somewhere I've never been. I hope you choose to stay here if in Lonavla.

Room Tip: 203 best view!!! Sad part is we had to leave bc AC was not working and AC walla couldn't fix. Pl...

We had a training conference here . I have been to the place umpteen times . Location is to die for . They have renovated the rooms . They are more comfortable now and service is good and the place is hospitable . Nice pool . Food is temperamental , partly very good and at times very average . But the place is meant for rains . The view is breath taking . It takes my vote for that alone .

We stayed at the Duke's Khandala in May 2014. The location is fantastic - just at the entrance of Khandala, all rooms overlooking the valley. Rooms appear to have been refurbished - they are modern and comfortable.

But other than the rooms, the resort looks fairly run down.

The food in the restaurant is really bad. Very oily. We were in a all meals package, so ate buffet. The ala carte menu is very expensive.

There is a good playing area for the kids.
