The location is wonderful, at the bottom of the hill down from the village with just a quiet road between you and the beach. Our rooms looked out from a large balcony to the sea and the sound of it coming in was very relaxing.
Vardis, the owner could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. When asked what time breakfast was he replied whenever we liked, he would be there and we received the same answer for what time the cafe/bar closed at night.
His recommendation for a taverna was perfect, with good home cooking, fresh each day only 2 minutes drive along the quiet, coast road.
The only reason this hotel did not get top marks were small things.... no swimming pool (not really necessary when the sea is 50 metres away), no bath mat but really a very good place to stay for a relaxing, quiet holiday where you feel that time is not important.
We went with our friends, another couple who loved it as much as we did.
Nearly forgot to mention the huge breakfast, lovely fresh selection with coffee of your choice and freshly squeezed orange juice. I have stayed in many larger, expensive hotels and not had this quality or service.
Not sure, but think it may be a little noisy when there are families there but for them there is a lovely safe play area in sight of the cafe.
My husband (not easily pleased) and myself can't wait to visit again.
