Treis Ellies is a calm and quiet village away from the noisy and warm cities. We spent a week here in the mountains. The climate was cool despite the August heat.Melaine was beautifully arranged with a feeling if antiqueness and of course neat and clean. Most of all Androulla is very motherly and assisted us with road directions and advised us on important sites. We has dinner together one night and exchanged dishes.Don't miss her speciality of trout in garlic sauce. But what touched us the most was Androulla's kind gesture of driving us to the Venetian Bridges, an awesome experience that we almost missed for the roads to the bridges can get quiet tricky .We highly recommend this location for relaxing and truely understanding the warm and friendly nature of the people.

You will travel along winding roads and walk up steepish steps to find To Spitiko in the quiet peacefulness of the "other" Cyprus, here in the green Troodos mountains. Androula, the owner, will treat you as a good friend, cook delicious, reasonably-priced meals if you want them (we went back for more) and help when help's needed. We loved staying in the one-bedroomed, Melanie's house; a country-style comfortable appartment, with a balcony overlooking the village and valley - just right for breakfasting (hopefully) in the sun and watching the swallows at dusk. There are long and short nature trails to follow nearby and fascinating churches to visit (check opening times!), before returning to the pretty terraced garden with sweetly scented flowers.

We spent a week in Cyprus as part of a longer holiday and this was definitely our favourite place to stay for the whole holiday. To Spitiko tou Archonta has a fantastic location in the high Troodos. It is well off the beaten track and the only tourist accommodation for miles. The Village of Treis Elies is very quiet and scenic, with a small shop and little else. We went to the area for the fantastic hiking, which is easily done along the well-marked routes. The owner, Androula, has a great knowledge of local hiking routes, as well as maps, etc. and can advise on this or on longer car trips out to some of the churches and monasteries, etc. which are well worth visiting.
We stayed in Melanie House which is a lovely, rustic self-contained apartment with a balcony and wonderful views across the valley. We opted to be catered for our stay which was a good choice as Androula is an excellent cook, making us delicious home cooked Cypriot meals each evening for a very reasonable price.
If you are travelling here by public transport, you can catch a green line (Intercity) bus to Troodos from Limassol and Nicosia - Androula can help you with times and routes.
I can highly recommend a stay here - you will not be disappointed!

This beautiful house looking straight to the amazing slopes of mount olympus gave us the chance to discover a Cyprus unknown to most. For three days we managed to escape the hustle of the towns and truly relax, and while there we went on nature walks and ventured on car trips to nearby villages - not without the tips and advice from the most helpful and wonderful Ms Androulla! Definitely recommended.

We had a chance to visit 3elies for just one weekend it was enough though to get us thrilled with the place!

Mrs Androulla, the owner of the house is a charming lady who is more than eager to fulfill your every vacation expectation! Excellent homemade cooking, good company, various tips about where to go and what to see are just a few of the positives of having her around.

The room is a small dream! Spacious, sparkling clean and with pretty much all the appliances that you have in your own house. An extra plus is the fire place (even if you don’t know how to use it Mrs Androulla is an excellent teacher).

The location is great as you can enjoy nearby paths in the mountains but you can also visit other nearby villages and sites.

Overall great service, great place, a must on your future vacations!

To Spitiko in Treis Elies was the highlight of our holiday in Cyprus. It's an old restored house in a small village, set in spectacular countryside in the Troodos mountains. The two apartments are fitted out in rustic style, full of characterful old furniture. The village is small and peaceful; there are no other hotels and no other tourists! There is a village shop where you can buy provisions - a good chance to meet some locals.

What made To Spitiko particularly special for us was the wonderful host, Androula. She was always very friendly and welcoming, gave us helpful advice on local walks (as well as a packed lunch!), and cooked up a cracking supper. We really felt at home with her - almost part of the family.

To Spitiko is a very special place to stay in beautiful, isolated surroundings, and with a wonderful host. We'd heartily recommend it.

An uncommon tranquility greeted us in the charmingly named village of Tries Elies (Three Olives). My husband and I (and our nine-month old!) booked the cosy self-catering cottage (with fireplace) at To Spitiko tou Archonta for a weekend of relaxation and scenic touring. We agreed with our hostess Androula on our meals in advance and a hot pot of Cypriot traditional chicken and lemon soup awaited us upon arrival. Androula's full menu is on her website and she even offers to teach guests how to cook! Her kitchen is a marvel and she uses wonderful ingredients like Candula petals in her salads.
For two days, we ventured into surrounding villages and dined both in tavernas and back at the cottage with another lovely trout meal prepared by our attentive hostess. Our two-room cottage was full of books and games and gorgeous antique furniture and trinkets. The view of the village and mountains is lovely and there is a space outside the cottage for dining or drinking coffee in the sun.
We also peeked at the second space Androula offers, above where she lives, and which sleeps six and is also fully self-catering.
The village does not offer anything in the way of restaurants or entertainment, but it is nestled in a gorgeous valley with the exquisite Venetian bridges accessible by walks or car.
Androula can recommend wonderful picnic spots, fun excursions, long walks and very lovely drives.
We would recommend this for the traveler who is looking for an off-the-beaten track get-away in full comfort and taste in an unspoiled area of Cyprus!
