Very well located right by the train station but very quiet and just a walk away from town center. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast buffet. The only downside was poor internet connectivity as it was intermittently disconnected through the stay which affected negatively the experience. I would definitely go back.

Very nice location next to railway station. Some shops and cafes and restruants nearby. However, the staff was very attentive and kind. There is also a restaurant inside the hotel, but we never ate there. There are also several food places near by including a cafe across the street, a pizza place across the street, and a bakery down the road we stayed in this hotel to save money staying outside of Paris.

Very nice location right next to teh railway station so 20 mins from central Paris. No off-road parking which was a bit of a hassle particularly the way the French park. Don't bother with the breakfast option, there are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants nearby that do a better job for half the price.

The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the train. However it is outside the main Paris area so is extra fare. The room was crowded - fine for just me but not for two. The curtain was torn and broken from the track. Generally felt not clean. Staff not interested in helping much. No tourist information. I would definitely stay closer to town next time.

We stayed at this hotel to save money staying outside of Paris. It is right next door to the train station. 25 min by train (RER) into the city. The staff were very friendly, and even permitted me to use the front desk phone to make a personal call twice. The first non-smoking room we were assigned had cigarette ashes on the floor near the bed, and smoke marks above the windows. It felt very dirty, and the carpet looked stained. It also smelled like smoke. I asked if we could change rooms, and we moved across the hall. This room was less dirty, no apparent ashes, but it also had smoke stains on the ceiling, and the carpet was stained. We always wore our shoes in the room, and didn't feel comfortable walking around without them. I wouldn't stay here again. It desperately needs remodeling, at least new bedding (ours had cigarette holes in it) and carpet. However, the staff was very attentive and kind. There is also a restaurant inside the hotel, but we never ate there. There are also several food places near by including a cafe across the street, a pizza place across the street, and a bakery down the road. You would be more comfortable staying somewhere cleaner and nicer in my opinion.

If you're planning on spending most of your days in Paris and need an affordable place to just sleep, this is a great option. We needed to book this within one week of our trip and it was the only affordable option, so it worked out well. I recommend it for those who want a nice substitute for a hostel and to budget travelers. Think Motel 6. Not for a honeymoon, but good for a place to crash. It was a basic small European room. Bed, bathroom, tv. Quiet neighborhood to sleep.

Pros:

PRICE: At and average of 60 euros a night, it isn't much more than many hostels but really a great alternative and is considerably cheaper to hotels within the peripherique.

LOCATION:

- It's in St. Gracien, a nice but "non-tourist" suburb outside of Paris. If you look at any map website, you'll see it's only 11 miles North of central Paris. When you look at the Paris Metro website, you'll see that it's in zone 4 and takes about 20 minutes on the RER/Metro from the St. Gratien station to the Notre Dame station. The hotel is literally steps away from the RER C station of St. Gratien which made it super convenient (electric train that doesn't have a horn, so you can't hear it).

- It is also surrounded by a nice cafe (recommend it), a japanese restaurant, a boulangerie (recommend it), and a tiny convenience mart where the locals get some quick goods. A little walking around and there's a nice grocery store called Champion, the post office, a McDonalds, so you're pretty much set. We went wandering and felt safe.

STAFF: All friendly and helpful. Makes a difference when the staff is good.

SITE: Nice lobby and eating area (breakfast buffet only)

ROOM: Quiet, comfortable. sink and tub looked clean.
A/C worked but isn't the most powerful (classically european trait). Bed was firm but comfortable.

Cons:

ROOM: The bathroom fixtures looked older, the carpet a bit worn, and it never really felt super clean, but it works for the price.
The shower curtain showed signs of age and use, but it wasn't really a problem, otherwise I would have asked the lobby if it could be changed. Wallpaper showed signs of age. These are all relatively cosmetic.

The bed cover didn't look dirty and was the same as all the other Ibis ones, but as with any motel, you never know how clean it really is. Same goes with the middle blanket. the sheets always looked and felt clean though, and I never had problem sleeping in the sheets.

Side note:
There are many business people in this hotel, and business meetings occur in the hotel.

TIPS:
- Get the PARIS VISITE zone 1-6 metro ticket as this offers unlimited travel in the Ile de Paris area and gets you to St. Gracien in zone 4. If you can get the Carte Hebdomadaire for zones 1-4, it's even cheaper.

- Ask for a room that faces the red cobblestone walkway.
