“Another winner by Paul Bocuse”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

Paul Bocuse the culinary "pope" has done it again. After having opened several Brasseries in and around Lyon he recently took over Auberge de Fond Rose and turned it into a fabulous brasserie. The food is excellent, the service perfect, as in all his restaurants, but the price goes with it all.
A fine place to have a meal. Great outdoor seating, but only in the summer.

“Good food”
Reviewed 21 September 2013 via mobile

We were able to have dinner at two of Paul Bocuse's restaurants - Le Sud n Fond Rose.
We were guests of a large party n dined in a private room. Couldnt really comment on the value of the food. Food was great - foie gras, duck, n a signature fish dish that I didnt get the proper it's some sort of fish ball/mousse - lack of a better term - that was really smooth, good favour but not fishy.

“standard Bocuse brasserie”
Reviewed 11 April 2013

but the downside is, when we went with three children and grandparents, there was a large screen TV playing on the wall above the kitchens.. disastrous for convivial lunching!

“Poor add on to such a prestige group”
Reviewed 7 February 2013

With all the other Bistros in this group and with a similar menu and supossedly purchasing power this newish venue has veered way of the path in both the service and the food. We went with an open mind and even with a Pre booked table they stumbled to find it. Seated and barely greeted we found the service to be abrupt and with out etiquette.Food was just to the point, a Spit Roasted Chicken well flavoured but short on quantity. The high light of the meal was a Souffle flavourerd with a good shot of Grand Marnier, but served well before the cheese was eaten, timing and ordering badly out of place with in the restaurant brigade. Not worth the journery from mid town was our view go to the Brasserie West or the East instead for a buzz, better service and better food.

“Average food.”
Reviewed 1 December 2011

Went with a large group. We were the only people in the entire restaurant all night. The food was adequate, but certainly not the best in Lyon, and not worth the trip outside the city. If you are trying to get here from Lyon, take a cab or drive, it's a long walk from the metro.
