Tiny but busy pub with great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. We both had excellent steaks this evening and the White choc raspberry cheesecake was divine

Thank you for a lovely evening, this pub is a little gem and well worth the 20 minute drive from where we have been staying on holiday. We were made to feel very welcome especially by the landlady who was lovely with our little boy. According to my husband the beer and cider was very good and we all enjoyed our meals - clearing our plates! Our little boy loved the vanilla ice cream, and so did I, the best I've had in years! An added bonus for our 3 year old was a gentleman in the pub who looked like Father Christmas - he convinced our boy that he was the real Father Christmas having a holiday. I recommend this place, simply lovely.

A unique little gem set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Can't imagine anywhere coming close to the Barley Mow for friendliness. The beers and food were great. Will definitely be back. Thanks.

We visited the peak district with our dog so had to find dog friendly places to eat out. Really glad that we found the Barley Mow as we received a warm welcome as soon as we stepped in. The barman was really friendly, helpful and very passionate as he described the food and drink options. The PUB food was excellent, we had monster burgers and fish cakes and we all cleared our plates with satisfaction. The selection of ales was good and we particularly liked the Hairy Helmet ale.
It is a traditional English pub which has a impressive ceiling decorated with a collection of beer mats. Would happily visit again if we are back in the area. Many thanks to all the staff and locals for making a lovely evening.

Thank Steve T
