We were 5 cyclists that book in at the B&B from Friday night to Sunday. Spent 2 nights at this wonderful B&B. Caroline and Dave were very hospitable and could no have done enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They easily accommodated us and our bikes.
We were able to clean our bikes after each ride and wash and dry our clothes.
Great location to get to some really nice trails.
Perfect place for a mountain biking weekend.
Very flexible on breakfasts as well as supplying home made bread.

We had a very enjoyable couple of nights here.Caroline and Dave were very welcoming, the accommodation is clean and comfortable and the tasty breakfasts set you up well for a day's walking. Bonsall is friendly village and a lot less crowded and touristy than many of the places nearby.A great place for anyone looking for a short break in the Peak District.

We were made to feel very welcome and the accommodation was first class. We loved room 5 which was attractively furnished and was quiet and private. The lounge/breakfast area was excellent and we were invited to use the settee, extensive library and TV at any time. There was an additional sitting area linked to a fitted kitchen and this could be used for sandwich making for packed lunches or preparing a meal in the evening. From this room there was access to a private garden which was in the process of becoming a lawned area with outside table.
The breakfasts were very enjoyable, tasty and freshly cooked and Caroline guessed correctly that I could manage a portion of black pudding in addition to the full English odered.
Our purpose for being in the area was to explore footpaths and Townhead was ideal - out through a gate at the back of the property and straight onto the hills over Matlock. Bonsall village offered 2 good pubs and we had a great night with local musicians 'jamming' in the Barley Mow.
Our host were very accommodating and offered to pick us up if we went for a longer walk. We will certainly be returning in the near future.

Room Tip: We are sure the quality is excellent throughout

Caroline and Dave were great hosts for our 2 night stop in this comfortable converted farmhouse B&B. Always happy to provide advice on local pubs, restaurants and places to visit. Separate communal kitchen area was available if needed. Excellent full english to set us up for the day - I can especially recommend the black pudding! Double bed was a bit too soft for our liking but apart from that a great place to stay! Ample car parking on site which was essential in this picturesque village as there was very limited street parking available due to the narrow roads.

We were greeted with a warm welcome, Caroline and Dave could not have been more helpful, Dave was busy making the bread ready for the following mornings excellent breakfast. Comfortable clean and well equipped, with the use of the lounge area and self-catering if needed. One of the best B&B's we have stayed in. Located in a quiet village with easy access to the surrounding area, with good onsite parking. We will be coming back as we could not fault our stay.
