Arrived here and greeted with such a warm welcome by Julie. Day after met her husband Peter, who luckily missed his plane to Jamacia. After that I just had a "ball" This is hippy styled reef complex, right on the ocean. It doesn``t get any better. From the reception to the sunshine deck it is all sand. The apartments range from 1 double bedrooms with bathroom, sharing kitchen, to new delicately decorated flats. Then, there is the "tree house" with grand piano etc. This is a place where one easily gets in contact with other guests. Meeting up every evening on the deck with drinks, and watching this amazing sun go down every evening. Next door is the romantic Fishbone Restaurant, where you can dine with you feet in the water. A few more houses along is another extremely popular restaurant, Zeerovers. Here you choose your fish and pay by the weight. And the another lovely restaurant is "The Old Man on the Sea". Julie is professional and on arriving all information is given about the area, island and so forth. It is all written down and this is a grand little pamphlet to keep. You can swim in the ocean or enjoy sunbathing in the outdoor area. Close by are other beaches and small towns. Buses are easy to catch, although it is great to have a rental car. Sunshine everyday and ocean breeze. I would never stay anywhere else in Aruba. The personalities that I have met here and the host and hostess are among the nicest people I have ever met.

Room Tip: All depends how you are travelling, solo, couple or family. It is a quiet area.

I travel alone and cannot imagine a warmer welcoming. The owners, staff, and visitors could not have been more kind. Julie and Peter were so accommodating! Everyone truly made me feel at home, and I simply can't express my appreciation enough. Thank you for making this one of my best vacations ever! I promise you won't go wrong staying at the most quaint locations in Aruba. You wake up on the beach to the greatest people you will ever meet. A must! That I can guarantee!

We had a great time here with a very friendly hostess. The rooms are very clean and offer all comfort needed. Furthermore you have a beautiful view on the ocean from your balcony. As you have a small beach and a nice view on the bay from the public rest area. We are definitely coming back again.

My wife and I have stayed here twice, once in 2009 as a gift from my mother-in-law and again in 2012 for a well-needed vacation, but I've never written a review (which they definitely deserve!) My MIL found this place, as she gave us our vacation in 2009, but she got to pick the place we went and stayed...hence Aruba and Coral Reef Beach. She really did her research before booking Coral Reef Beach and she hit the jackpot with it.

Both times we have stayed in the studio apartment and it is a little slice of heaven for a couple. If you are looking for a huge space, this is not it, but it is quaint and cozy. The view is spectacular from that room and the entire view from the property is gorgeous. Our favorite part of the room were the double doors you can open up to let the breeze through...every morning we would open those doors and eat our breakfast looking out over the water...it was so peaceful and relaxing, exactly what a vacation should be. And every afternoon we would come back and nap with those doors open before heading back out for the evening. My wife says that was made those vacations for her...it was like our own little beach.

Julie and Peter are such great hosts, they have given us excellent recommendations for activities each time we have been there and are so very nice. They always make sure you know the good places around to eat and what local things are happening at the time. If you are social they will always engage in conversation, as they love knowing their visitors, but if you'd rather have your space they won't bother you. They are basically the equivalent to the best neighbors you've ever had.

The only downside to Coral Reef Beach is that they are next door to one of Aruba's most popular restaurants: "The Flying Fishbone." It can get a little loud in the evenings, so if you want strict quiet in the evenings you might want to consider this fact...but on the plus side you don't need a cab to visit one of Aruba's most popular restaurants. They are also just down from "The Old Man and the Sea" restaurant, another great restaurant that has a great romantic atmosphere.

We plan on coming back to Aruba in the future and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. The price is good, location is amazing, and it is definitely a place to rewind and recharge. I actually don't think we would have been as happy with our Aruba trips if we had stayed anywhere else but here. My wife and I will continue to recommend Coral Reef Beach to our friends who visit Aruba. And hopefully we will be back soon!

My family of four (hubby and two teenagers) stayed at a "Tree House" accomodation at the Coral Reef for a few days during the Christmas holidays. When we travel we like to get a feel for our destination & meet some of the other guests & our hosts. Our instinct is to shy away from high-rise, generic accomodations. The Coral Reef fit our preferences perfectly. It is located in Savaneta - an old fishing village, and a more residential part of the island. The tree house was lovely with an old world feel. Very relaxing. It had a kitchen which allowed us to visit the local market and put together our own healthy breakfasts (i.e. papaya, local yogurt & local baked goods). The courtyard set-up at the hotel allowed the kids to go out to the dock and hang around in a hammock, etc. on their own. We could also snorkel, and swim right from the dock area. Sunsets were beautiful from this location. I like to be able to walk somewhere from where we are staying, & there were several restaurants and a market walking distance from the accomodation. We also took advantage of an excellent snorkel tour that leaves from a nearby beach. We did go up to the more developed part of the island to see what it was like - it was also lovely but we were happy to have stayed where we did.

I think you have to see this place yourself to really appreciate it. It is truly a small piece of paradise. The host, Julie, is gracious and caring. Her staff is accommodating and helpful. The atmosphere is more like a home away from home, with everyone who stays at this place becoming another member of the family. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in the studio apartment above the recording studio, and could not have been happier there. Our room had beautiful glass doors which opened to the ocean. Literally, the ocean. It was only a few feet from our bed. Waking up to that every morning is not something you can describe in words.
Julie was friendly and very gracious. She even cared enough to accommodate us after we had checked out, since my wife wasn't feeling well. She insisted we stay and take our time and even offered us to come back anytime during the rest of our trip, since we were scheduled to stay at another hotel the rest of the week.
The first night we were there, the other guests all gathered around the outside tables in the sand and shared local beers and stories of there travels. Julie came out to join us and gave us tips on where to go and what to see.
We will definitely be back to once again sleep beside the ocean. Thanks Julie and Staff!

Room Tip: Studio above the studio. Best View. Best Room.
