I expected this to be a standard hotel room, nothing to rave about stay.

ACTUALLY. I loved the place! The staff were so amazingly friendly and polite, the restaurant and food was beautiful! They really made me feel like I was in a top London restaurant it was lovely!

The room was very luxurious with extra effort being made on making it seem more expensive than it was. The green patterned light fitting on the wall under the television was a very nice touch. Little green lights in the bathroom under the sink so in the middle of the night you didn't have to blind yourself if you needed to get up to use the toilet etc. The bathroom was a nice size, with a full bath and amazing shower!

Breakfast the next day was also very nice and the one thing I did note is that I had the most PERFECT fried egg with my meal. It was nice and bouncy, not dry, not oily, not brown on the bottom, very soft rounded sides, very nicely done. Perfect mix of yolk, bottom half that held its shape and then the top half of the yolk just gently drizzled out when cut open.

Check in and check out was easy, would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here as it was close to the train station for getting to London. We had booked a family room but when we checked in the sofa bed was not made up, and there were not enough towels.
When I went down to reception they said it would be organised, and it was.
The rooms are small, but clean.
The pool was nice, if a little cold.
The breakfast and breakfast staff were the stars of the show. The variety of food was fresh and tasty, and the staff were lovely.

A little complicated of the round about to get into the hotel. We arrived at around 7.30 pm., could not enter the hotel car park, but the staffs were very helpful, especially Daniel. He was very helpful in leading and finding us a car parking space, and all necessarily checking in. We, family of three had two rooms of the Executive King and a Standard Double. They are gorgeous, modernized, clean and spacious. Nice bed and pillows; and Since we had the Executive King, the WiFi was also a compliment. Actually, it would have been good for the hotel at this standard to have WiFi included for all..... We love breakfast, many varieties and good quality. If we ever come again to Reading, we would love to stay here again. Thank you.

Firstly we came here for a large Evening Function. We did not stay here so I cannot comment on the Hotels accommodation although friends who did said it was good.
However the meal that was served for our function in our mind and others of our party was terrible. I realise they were catering for a large number but at this level and cost they should be serving much better food.
It was served up like a School Dinner in a canteen! No choice for main meal, adults Chicken Korma and a Mushroom Stroganoff for Vegetarian option. Childs again one choice Fish Goujons. The food was quite bland. Deserts were slightly better but some were mass frozen product type. Really did expect a much better meal for the money we paid given the impression you get on entrance to this Hotel.
Also drinks were very expensive!
What a shame they can't produce the quality when they have the quantity.

Stayed here as part of a national holidays weekend break and was pleasantly surprised with this wonderful hotel! Swift check in/out. Rooms are very modern/stylish. Beds were very comfortable as well. I would most definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone!

Had a nice 2yr anniversary break here last weekend. We booked having seen a romantic package on the website. We received an executive room upgrade, 3 course dinner from the set menu or a value of upto £24pp, a bottle of Prosecco and Thornton's chocolates. Our room was very nice, large bed, flat screen TV, hair dryer, iron, kettle, etc... The bathroom was lovely with a ceiling shower and shower head which you used in the bath. The hotel is nice and spacious, meal was very tasty and well presented although we were told we should have booked before hand meaning we had to wait 1hr before we could be slitted. We used the spa while we were there and had a 1hr double indulgence massage, was very nice but came at a price £100. We we in a small room with tranquil music and received a back, neck, head, shoulders, back of legs and foot massage, after which we relaxed in the pool, steam room and sauna. Overall the spa is nice but lacking a jacuzzi, price of food and drinks in the hotel and restaurant are very expensive but so is every hotel, very new clean and well laid out.

My wife and I were given our room key on check in, but were surprised to find someone already occupying the room - surely this should never happen. Fortunately only embarrasing for all parties but could have been worse.
After that, things evened out. The staff were all good, helpful and friendly; the room was good and the food and service in the restaurant were above average, but why do they always try to give you the worst table when you first go in ?
