We stayed in the cottage, fully equipped with everything you could want and the most beautiful setting. We even got fresh eggs for breakfast! It looks out over fields and down to a lake, the pictures don't do it justice. A lovely wood burning stove to cosy up in the evening and a princess and the pea 4 poster that my girls just loved. A great place for a rural escape, as set in lots of land with donkeys, pigs, shetland ponies. Lots to do in the area, will definitely return.

The best breakfast by far of any B and B that I have stayed in. The table is set with crystal and silver and before you know it it is mid morning and you are on your second pot of excellent coffee!
Comfortable beds and good showers with a plentiful supply of fluffy white towels and plenty of 'extras' in the rooms..
The house and grounds are spacious and during your stay you are made to feel very much at home. Dawn is an extremely attentive host who is most anxious to make sure that you enjoy every aspect of your stay. Lots of hunting memorabilia which may not be to everyone's taste.

Room Tip: The staircase is beautiful but wooden and is not carpeted so expect to hear other guests using the s...

We had a wonderful stay at Way Barton this August. We arrived cold, tired and wet after the second leg of our coast to coast cycle ride. Dawn, the owner, went out of her way to make sure we had a lovely stay. The cream tea on arrival and breakfast the next day were exceptional. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the house and grounds are beautiful. We will be back!

It is really quite impossible to 'up' the number of superlatives used by other reviewers. 'Best Bed and Breakfast ever' is used by several visitors and, to be honest, I think that is pretty much how we would rate the experience. The house was full and we had the 'small' room (it wasn't). Beautifully decorated and furnished. Hugely comfortable bed and a quality of service and general friendliness out of this (normal) world. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Way Barton is a beautiful, B&B, that my husband, best friend and I visited in June. The owner, Dawn, and her son, Jason, are very hospitable, friendly, and they are both excellent cooks. The en-suite rooms are beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. Way Baron has ponies and ducks and lovely scenery. But most of all it's Dawn and Jason who make you feel like friends and I can't wait to return and hear more about Dawn's auction adventures.

Room Tip: Every room is unique and beautifully decorated.

I think I have summed up the experience of staying with Dawn at Way Barton....Quite simply the best Bed and breakfast you are ever likely to find. From Dawn's warm welcome to the very sad good bye you will be pampered and made to feel extremely welcome. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfasts are (or should be legendary!) Make sure you're hungry at breakfast time as Dawn will ensure you are 'fully fuelled' for the day....All in all a wonderful experience...I have stayed several times now and most certainly will be back...

The best B&B we have ever stayed in...cant wait to return. Set in fabulous countryside...very peaceful. Luxury 5* accomodation...fine linen...fluffy towels ...lots of extras. Greeted on arrival with tea and freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream served in the beautiful orangery. The best Full English Breakfast ever. Great selection of fresh fruit. Impossible to find any fault.

Room Tip: All are lovely rooms.
