Owner description: If you are looking for inspiration and a relaxing day out, come to RHS Garden Rosemoor and stroll around our enchanting 65-acre garden. Rosemoor is a garden of intoxicating beauty, meticulously crafted and planted, retaining the essence of rural North Devon within a dramatic backdrop of steep wooded valley sides.Whatever the season, the exciting colours, scents and textures mean that all your senses will be stimulated, and with both formal and informal gardens - as well as woodland walks, water features and open spaces - there is something for children and adults alike to enjoy time and again.

Thank you for your review, it is great to hear your children enjoyed the garden, it is so inspiring for all ages. We have a wonderfully full program of events for children throughout the summer holidays this year all connected to our Journey into Middle Earth exhibition. please have a look on our website for more details. “Lovely Gardens, But Not Quite RHS Standard”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2014

Rosemoor is a lovely restful place, different in style to the other RHS gardens we have visited. On arrival, we were impressed by the fabulous lush green grass, without a single weed in sight. There are plenty of benches around the gardens, where you can just sit and enjoy the view.
As well as enjoying the gardens, we had a lovely cream tea at the Wisteria Tea Room, although available tables were limited and our rickety table had to be supported by a chair!
We visited Rosemoor just before the Rose Weekend and the rose displays were spectacular, both with the varieties and the abundance of blooms. There were an awful lot of dead heads and we thought there would be a rush of activity at the end of the week in preparation for the weekend, so we returned on the Friday. We were disappointed to find that little had changed and the one or two staff dead-heading were in no hurry to get the job done.
We also found that plant labelling was a bit hit-and-miss. Quite a lot of plants had no label at all and some labels were in the middle of the wrong plant. OK if you're a plant expert and know what you're looking at, but for the uninitiated, it could be very confusing.
Overall, Rosemoor is beautiful and relaxing, but apart from the fabulous grass, we found it lacked the RHS crispness and attention to detail we have experienced at Hyde Hall and Wisley.

Just been to rose weekend at the gardens - well all I can say is Amazing!!!
So many for the old type roses and the smell was awesome!
Around every corner Is another surprise and so well laid out - so many ideas for the ken gardener and so much to enjoy if you just want to wander and take in the view.
Set in a stunning valley it was a pleasure to sit in the car park and have our picnic - just stunning!
Excellent value for money would love to go again in a different season.

“Excellent gardens, with plenty of variety.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

RHS Rosemoor contains various styled gardens, including a Water Garden.a woodland garden, 2 Rose Gardens an arboreteum and 2 Woodland walks.
Facilities are good, with excellent food in the resaurant (most of the veg comes from the gardens) as well as a tea room near the arboreteum, extenshive shop and plant sales.
You will take away inspiriation for your own garden!
