“Beautiful Gardens and Great for Kids”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

There is usually something happening here to keep the young ones occupied during school holidays.
The gardens are wonderful. Woodland walks, orchards, lakes, vegetables, wild areas, long borders, ornamental gardens, playgrounds and places to explore for the children etc etc. something for all tastes and something to see all year round.

“Always check to see what special events are on”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

Had a lovely surprise when we got there, a trail about The Hobbit for the children which meant that we all visited parts of the garden we had not seen before. As always the gardens have inspired us to do more with our patch.

It is great to hear that your teenagers still enjoy visiting us, we do so much more for older children now and have archery and falconry days coming up which are all included in the price of your membership / admission fee. Kind regards. Oliver

“Beautiful inspirational gardens”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

Such a lot to see here! We had under estimated how much time to give this visit and I think we will have to return next year to full appreciate this garden. There is so much to see and it's spread over a big area so it does take some time to cover.

I really loved the cottage garden. The design is just as you would imagine an English cottage garden with a magical thatched 'shed' as the centre piece.

It was so nice to see the plants labeled well for identification. There is so much to inspire you and even though it is a very, very large garden there's something for everyone to introduce into their own garden.

“'Relaxing Rosemoor'.”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

An RHS Flagship garden (of which I am a member, so access was free for myself and Husband).Very large garden, showcasing various styles of gardening..Woodland, Herbaceous borders, Rose gardens, Vegetable and fruit garden, Arboretum, Wild flower area, Bog garden, Mediterranean area, Dry garden, Croquet lawn, Open vistas with views, Kid's play area and picnic area to name some of it. Always worth a visit and very different with the seasons. Whilst visiting in July/August Tolkien exhibition of paintings and various things Tolkien related to find in garden (Willow dragon, Hobbit house, Troll, Willow spiders and giant web to recall a few). Very enjoyable day out (need a full day to appreciate it), despite inclement weather..take an umberella!
Tea rooms located at both sides of garden and large well stocked RHS plant and general shop.
