On a visit to family we came here on Saturday evening July 12th. we had a reserved table and it was quite busy. We ordered drinks at the bar and then ordered our food, good specials board however our table was soon ready with starters served. I had a well portioned whitebait starter.. just enough to be filling but not to skimpy either. The beer Adnams Broadside oiled the evenings conversation. Delighted to have a homemade steak & Kidney pie with shortcrust pastry instead of the usual 'dogbowl and awful puff pastry top'. very tasty and filling. Other guests also enjoyed their meals too. So a good local night out, good bar staff and service.
