Description: The Kings Arms is a friendly family-run 17th Century coaching inn situated in Reepham's historic Market Place. The atmospheric interior, dating back to 1667, creates a warm welcome with open fires, polished oak floors, Norfolk brick walls and ancient beams running over three levels. The bar has a great selection of lagers, wines, spirits and six real ales as acknowledged by CAMRA's Good Beer Guide since 1995. The extensive menu offers home cooked starters, mains and desserts, with specials available daily. All produce is sourced locally wherever possible. Summer jazz in the floral courtyard and winter quizzes add to its civilized atmosphere with cheerful staff who are not averse to a bit of banter. Children and dogs with well behaved owners are welcome.

“good beer and food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

On a visit to family we came here on Saturday evening July 12th. we had a reserved table and it was quite busy. We ordered drinks at the bar and then ordered our food, good specials board however our table was soon ready with starters served. I had a well portioned whitebait starter.. just enough to be filling but not to skimpy either. The beer Adnams Broadside oiled the evenings conversation. Delighted to have a homemade steak & Kidney pie with shortcrust pastry instead of the usual 'dogbowl and awful puff pastry top'. very tasty and filling. Other guests also enjoyed their meals too. So a good local night out, good bar staff and service.

“A splendid old pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

Bang in the middle of the town with tables on the side of the market square. A pint of Wherry, a local beer, in beautiful condition and then another because it was so good. Add a sandwich to go with it and all at a reasonable price. We shall come back.

The epitome of the English pub ! serving good value meals in a superb old building ,in a very quaint and pretty little town, very busy on a Tuesday lunchtime, so you just know it's worth finding.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014 via mobile

Lovely little pub in Reepham, full of charm and friendly atmosphere.
Starter of Whitebait was wonderful and could have shared it between the two of us..
Main was Salmon with crusted Brie , served with three veg , heavenly
Meal off specials board was Pork red pepper and mushroom goulash with rice served with garlic bread and this was gorgeous but we were a bit hesitant on dessert as hasn't had good write ups but we had banana split which when served was WOW , fab food fab ale fab night, will deffo be going back

“Lovely 'local'”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

We come here most weeks to ease into the weekend and are never disappointed. The beers are always well kept with several local real ale selections, including Panther, Reepham's own. The Aspalls cider is always clean and fresh.

The restaurant has no haut cuisine pretensions but offers tasty, well-cooked and straightforward 'pub grub' at a reasonable price. The only real disappointments are the desserts which fall below their standards.

The surroundings are lovely - an old building with exposed beams/brickwork. The large, open log fire is a treat in winter. The atmosphere is warm and friendly; the staff a pleasure.

It is everything a local should be - Reepham is lucky to have it and long may it thrive!
