“Good home cooked food.”
Reviewed 12 March 2013 via mobile

Me and my girlfriend had lunch at this inn last February while driving by during our visit to the Cotswolds. We were very impressed by the quality and the quantity of the food, which was served to us by the loveliest of waitresses (Becky). Prices on the menu aren't really cheap, but trust me the food is worth. We also visited their accommodation. Overall the room showed to us was very reasonable for the price quoted, but did not stay since we had already booked elsewhere.
We will return surely, to stay overnight and sample also dinner and breakfast, but so far so good. A big thumb up for the Merrymouth Inn.

I have had my lunch today, in this restaurent and was really impressed. The standard and quality of the food was awesome. Quantity was nice. I liked their pudding and lamb. The sunday roast was so delicious. I will definitely recommend this restaurent to others. They have maintained a nice decoration for inside. It provides an ancient feeling. The furnitures and ambiance are in a nice condition. Three cheers for Merrymouth :)

Room Tip: Wonderful British Food with fantastic ambience

We stayed over just one night in February 2013 en route from Cumbria to Southampton and had a terrific time. The room was very warm and comfortable with a newly installed shower. The food was excellent and all the staff very friendly and hospitable. We admit to knowing Mo, Bill and Adam already, which added to the enjoyment, but, even without that fact, the Merrymouth was everything we could have hoped for and more, and it would be a terrific base for exploration of the glorious Cotswolds.

Stayed in Feb 2013 booked the day of going, upon turning up did wonder what we had booked. We had a very nice welcome from Adam. The rooms are simple but warm and the bed was very comfy. Had dinner and breakfast here both Excellent good portions and great food. Try one of their pies. Very nice atmosphere with the family and staff that work here also pet friendly. I would stay here again, just one thing to amend. Some new towels in the rooms.

My brother and I have stayed at the Merrymouth Inn on numerous occasions over the past 5 years or so - and have always been most happy there. Bill and Mo are wonderful hosts, the atmosphere is welcoming, the food great (Bill's full English breakfast can't be bettered and Mo's desserts are delicious - her apricot and apple frangipane not to be missed) and the rooms warm and comfortable. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I arrived at the Merrymouth on a freezing cold night. Although staff were busy they took the time to make us feel very welcome.
Our room was beautifully warm and cosy. The beds were so comfortable, and the room had everything we needed. The bathroom did need an update but it had a bath as well as shower, and it was so nice to relax in. Loads of hot water and an extra heater.
The atmostphere in the pub was lovely, staff were very attentive.
Breakfast the next day was really good, with very generous portions. The Merrymouth is very good value for money. Our only regret was that we only stayed for one night!
Many thanks to Bill and all the staff.
