Georgefield Cottages are two converted farm buildings on a working farm. The accomodation is well equipped, spacious, clean and absolutely perfect for small or larger groups. This time we stayed in the smaller of the two cottages (Georgefield Cottage).
Even though this is the smaller of the cottages it is still spacious and comprises three bedrooms (two with twin beds and one with a double - all overlooking the open fields), a bathroom with bath and shower over. There is a cosy sitting room with open fire and patio doors looking out over the private garden, open fields and hills. It also has a window that overlooks the farm buildings and yard and you can often see the goose having a wander around outside whilst the cows are getting fed. There is a large kitchen diner with plenty of room for sitting and eating. This cottage also has a porch which is handy for leaving wet shoes and clothes in should you get caught in the rain and just off the porch is a small cloakroom (wc and basin).
As with the other cottage the kitchen is fully kitted out with washing machine, dish washer, fridge freezer and plenty of cupboard space for food and any cooking items you might have brought with you.
Having now stayed in both cottages I can say that the larger one is ideal for larger groups and families whilst the smaller one is good for smaller families and couples.
I can still thoroughly recommend this place.
