“Yet another wonderful stay”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

On 11 - 14 June we had our second stay at this gem of a hotel at the southern end of the Alsace region. Once again, the staff, from reception to waiters/ waitresses to cleaners, were wonderful. It's worth coming here just for the food and wine alone, both at super-reasonable prices for this standard of cooking. The wine list is also very reasonably priced. The air conditioning in our room did struggle a bit at night but then it was over 30 outside. The hotel has been beautifully laid out, including a lovely terrace overlooking the lake. My only regret in recommending it so highly is that it will become harder to book - but they deserve it.

Stayed for one night on business seeing a local client. Hotel has some amazing history and long term family connections which shows in the pride and service provided. Rooms were a great size and very comfortable. Breakfast on the balcony was indeed a great way to start the day.

A very modern, clean, well equipped hotel with a very friendly, helpful staff. A spacious underground garage and plenty of outdoor parking spaces make accessibility very easy.
Great whirlpool set near a large pond, very good hotel restaurant with creative, tasty food and very friendly, professional service. The fois gras de canard was fantastic, along with a glass of champagne absolutely heavenly! This is the closest hotel to the race track "Anneau du Rhin" which was the reason we booked this hotel. Very highly recommendable. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, therefore not able to rate it.

I enjoyed this stay with my family.
Plus are the service, the location and the area. Rooms are OK and beds are very good.
Moderato : kitchen is average. I have been a bit disappointed by the breakfast. The best breakfast in the area remains "Le Parc". This one is simple but good.
Minus : too few seats around the swimming pool. Need to be quick on it ;-).

I booked this place for a group of colleagues via a travel agent and it seemed that the hotel was very difficult to deal with and as such I was worried about going here. In reality it turned out that the agent was the problem and the hotel could not have been more helpful. Although the town is only so-so, the hotel itself is pretty nice, with a man-made lake and river to the front and plenty of parking. The rooms had plenty of space although of course the best ones face the front. Everything was clean and the only issue was the randomness of the elevator (it appeared to not work very often - although I gave up on it after 1 day, so maybe it did the rest of the week?).

The staff are helpful although I advise checking out on the night before you leave as the wait for the desk in mornings can be slow and the queue long (particularly on a Friday morning). Breakfast was good and wifi (included) was strong.

We stayed the Hotel Domaine Du Moulin during a brief week end trip to Alsace.
A good base for explorations to Alsace, but the village Ensisheim itself has nothing to offer.

The Rooms were neat and clean, the Restaurant was just ok.
A bit pricy without any special Alsace flair.
