“Go to Margam”
Reviewed 21 April 2014 via mobile

I have been to the Margam Go Ape many times and love it. I booked this thinking it would be as good but with a different track. I don't think it was as good but that opinion may have been affected by the bad mood I begun with:
I booked the first time slot, because I knew full well from Margam that I did not want to get stuck behind a group with kids, firstly they are slower anyway but the safety process of two children waiting on one platform for the adult to check them makes it painful to be behind. I never plan to rush the course but I don't like waiting around to do each crossing.
When we arrive, we find that some party had wanted to book in so they'd opened a place for them half hour earlier, full of children. I would have had a lie in and gone at 2pm if we were going to be stuck behind people anyway, no actually that's a lie - I'd have booked a different day or not gone. We went around with 2 other couple we only met there that had been placed in our group who had also booked the first time slot with the same idea and were as a result also annoyed. The bond we created as a result of being annoyed together was the best bit about this day.
What a waste of time.

“Haven't laughed so much in ages !”
Reviewed 27 February 2014

Went as a group of four today - 2 adults and 2 fearless children aged 10 and 12. Had a fantastic time. It was very quiet. Took us two and a half hours or so to complete the course. Love that there are some route options if you just don't fancy the super wobbly routes such as the stirrup crossing. Lots of zip wires which were loads of fun despite ending up backwards every time and totally filthy from the soggy bark landing !
Comprehensive but not over onerous safety briefing.
Frankly we were all exhausted at the end but smiling. We booked through Forest Holidays and so had a 10% discount which was a bonus. To be honest, at full price it would still represent good value.
Definitely recommended but don't forget you will need to climb rope ladders up to 15 metres high and crawl your way across swaying cargo nets !

“Friends Birthday”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

Went with a big group of us for a friends Birthday. Was a bit nervous to begin with but not as bad as some people in our group. You get everything explained to you and then get to try it on a small area before heading off to the main part. Once you get the hang of it and know what to do it's pretty straight forward and you always feel safe. A nice sense of achievement at the end and we even got a certificate :)

“Segway experience”
Reviewed 15 November 2013

Segways were AMAZING! Well worth the money, fun, and super easy to get used to. However, wasn't really a free ride scenario, always part of a large group and the hour was over very quickly. Worth the experience as a one off, but probably wouldn't rush back. Did however always feel safe
