In the valley you can spot the east face of Minya Konka and the stunning glaciers. But it all depends on weather. In late April I visited this valley. Although it was tourist season but there were not too many people: visitors avoided here because of the recent earthquake in the neiborig Ya'an, which acctually did less damage to this place when it happened than now.
There was a nice hotel at Camp 2 where one can also enjoy a hot spring bath. At Camp 3 there are two hotels, one golden mountain hotel the other one silver mountain hotel. A good place to stopover for the glacier walking and cable car riding although you can do the cable car riding to Camp 4 in one day from the bottom/stay low in Moxi Town where you can avoid the risk of getting AMS and also enjoy relatively better hotel and food.
The tourist site bus takes about 40 minutes going up to Camp 3 and the cable riding takes about 20 minutes. In tourist seasons, it may take a lot of time waiting for the cars/buying tickets.
It was all misty up on the mountain in the late April. I can't see nothing beyound 50 meters. It is the eastern face of Minya Konka, and the warm current flows from the east, this is probably the reason why it rains often. At the westface of Minya Konka, less rain but less options on accommodation and involes camping.
