We ended up booking the place based on the reviews, but probably for the first time the reviews mislead me choosing for accommodation. The only probably correct information is that it is on the beach. But even that is partial information. Its the most horrible beach I have been at with the village people shitting on the beach right in front of the Resort. That's how we began our morning, and rest was history. I guess, I don't need to explain anything more. The extreme other side of the beach from the resort is however a little better. Forget the resort, I will not even recommend even the beach to be visited.

For 800/- per person charged, the place is highly overpriced.

The served food is not out of the world and the quantity served is to less to fill the stomach. For dinner the Fish curry has just a small piece of Fish along-with a chicken dry leg piece !!! Surely I cant fill my stomach with that. The quantity of Chapati and Rice served was also tooo less. For morning breakfast, again a plate of Poha served was way to less to be close enough to fill your stomach. I opted for bread omelet instead. The bread was not toasted, didn't had butter and omelet was, made from one egg. But again it the quantity was just enough to fill the stomach for some hours. They need to seriously reconsider themselves simply on the quantity of food served and the amount charged, which is per person based !!!!

The only positive for us was that the room, considering the resort is on a beach, was clean and well maintained. The toilet was also large and well maintained.

The owner of the place is a little annoying, the staff is good and helping though.

we found this place on google. reviews were good. So we booked it for a early weekend trip (Fri-Sat). 5 guys from Pune. We had to postpone our travel. Informed the manager who sounded pretty pissed already. he offered a half refund of deposit but we decided to postpone. finally 4 of us made to the trip last weekend. This so called beach resort is right on the beach with filth around. You have to drive to the beach from the Shrivardhan beach to get into this resort. When I first got the car on the beach I was pretty disappointed. The beach was dirty! next we checked in and manager was pissed as were 4 and not 5. We had asked for late checkout for extra charge which was agreed. So we went walking on the beach.. the water was dirty so was the surrounding.. anyways, the resort held a warning that Liquor is not allowed but we saw fellow visitors drinking openly and one of the guys from the hotel also offered us beer, liquor how much ever we wanted. Next morning we're all geared up to go to the beach at 6 am and we saw people from the village managing morning chores on the beach.. right in front of this beach resort.. So overall the beach was dirty, resort had filth all around and the rooms were smelly and dingy. We decided not to go in the sea and rather checked out early but paid full and drove to diveagar and spent rest of the day there.
Shrivardhan beach was dissapointing so was this beach resort.

The USP of the resort is the location...It is actually on the beach, and to go to the resort, you have to ride/drive on the beach and then enter through the beach mud !! The best part is that once you are there, it is super peaceful and serene....

They have great food, and awesome service. Their tree houses (total 5 of them) are the best place to spend a quite time with family\friends and since it is on the beach, there is no problem with ventilation....

We went as a biking group of 53 bikers and the resort is big enough to accommodate many more people !

All in all, a perfect getaway location :) :)

Room Tip: Look for a beach view room !

Firstly, i would like to mention how accommodating the management was in entertaining our frequently changing schedule. We moved the arrival date twice and both times they were nice enough to accommodate us without charging anything extra. And it was a long weekend too and they were completely full as we found out.

Reaching this place is no mean task as you actually have to drive over the slippery beach sand to reach the entrance. The approach road is via the Khalcha Jeevana village and so it cannot really be called as Shrivardhan beach. Just when you think you are in middle of nowhere, you have actually arrived. Once you hit the beach, please do call up the resort and let their staff drive the tricky patch from there to the hotel. Believe me, no matter how good a driver you are, nothing will prepare you for this. You dont want your car stuck in the sand just when you are barely feets away from your room.

The room was pretty basic - just brick walls with a tin roof and a fan hanging on it - but it suffices. You can see the beach and the ocean as soon as you step out of the room but i wish they had positioned the rooms such that the sea is visible from the windows. The attached bathroom is clean and functional and sufficient for your needs. You may have to ask them for soap, towels and extra bedsheets. The room seemed like it had been closed for a while and dust had accummulated so they swept it after we came. The room did have sofas along with the double bed which was a bonus as it gave us lot of space to spread our stuff. The bed was really comfortable and we had the most wonderful snoozes there. However, once we spotted a scorpion (yes!) on the roof right on top of the bed. My husband quickly took care of it. There are mosquitoes as well so you dont want those windows open after sun-down.

The area outside the rooms is shaded by numerous huge palm trees with hammocks tied to them. It makes for a nice relaxing sitout. We spent many lazy hours here talking about mundane things :).They also have their own backyard farm and a good collection of farm animals - chicken, rabbits, goats and turkeys that had the weirdest habit of clucking all together every 15 minutes (rather unnerving!). Food is served in-house and really you dont have much choice of outside food. They give veg, chicken, fish and egg thalis. All reasonably priced. Better to stick to the day's set menu and not ask for anything special. The food has distinct coastal touch but we felt the quantity a bit less. You can ask for more of course but it gets a bit cumbersome. Also no sweet or buttermilk which i found found sorely lacking.

The best part of this place is the nearly private beach right outside (as advertised on their website). We could take a dip in the sea and be back in the room without having to cross the main gate. There is no other property around this resort and that makes it really personal and private. But if you walk on the beach for a kilometer or so you will get to the main Shrivardhan beach which is now getting commercialized with water sports and bhel-pakori vendors etc. But walk a kilometer further and you can be excused for thinking that you are no longer in India. The beach is clean (by indian standards), vast and flat and that makes it really safe. The area has hills on one side and forest on the other which makes this place unique. A fish market can be reached by walking towards the anchored boats on one end. At night all the twinkling lights from the boats create a colorful visual treat. Check it out for yourself...

Room Tip: Ask for newly constructed rooms.

Truly a customer centric approach by Mr Nadeem Satvilkar and his staff. To Start with - Awesome 5 Star beach, Awesome View, Great Staff, Good food, Clean Rooms, everything was good. Unlike many traditional beaches this one stands out of the box because of its customer Service and personalized Service. Very Affordable, whether your a couple or a family best place to be. No disturbance, no stink or dirty garbage nearby. Just clean and fresh environment. since, I am a tea drinker I got tea whenever I asked. Rooms are good and clean... Do not expect any great fancy luxury's but a natural and healthy environment. Sit besides the bonfire in the night listening to the sound of waves and wind. You step out of room and you have the beach right in front. Infact, you have to drive all the way through the beach to reach this resort. Leave the rest to the owner and he will take care of it...
Being the New Years eve I didn't find any halaa...Balooo...
P.S. the only thing that might disturb you is the beautiful soothing sound of waves...

Room Tip: Choose the newly constructed rooms. I stayed in room No. 1 which is the most spacious of all... Newl...

Wanna get away from a busy schedule??? Suban Beach Resort is the most ideal place where you can relax, get freshen up and energize yourself to going back to your daily routine.

What makes this place very unique is its presence right on the shore. The A/C rooms were in great condition and there was always a person available to address our needs throughout our stay at the resort. Accomodation is very reasonable. Best of all you get freshly prepared food at your own convenience alongside with coconut water, drinks (non-alcoholic) and bottled water.

I would strongly recommend this place.

Room Tip: A/C rooms are very clean and nice.
