“Good, make it great”
Reviewed 8 November 2017 for a stay in October 2017

Had a lovely stay in this cozy cottage... a few minor tweaks would make it outstanding:

- heat the living room as it was pretty chilly despite the wood burning stove
- provide bathrobes, enough loo roll for more than 2 days, provide enough soap/toiletries to last the entire stay

We are a self catering cottage so most guests know to bring their own supplies we like to provide toiletries as we feel they are essential. In the same way that we feel it important to supply coffee tea sugar and many basic larder and kitchen supplies most self catering accommodation does not supply this.

We comply completely with N.I Tourist board requirements for 5 star status. Unfortunately dressing gowns are not required in their rating criteria however we have taken your point on board and will provide then if requested in future.

All our guests are shown how to alter the heating in order to keep the cottage at the temperature they require. I apologise if you were not made aware of this on your arrival.

We hope we have addressed your issues and would love to have the chance to look after you again.

“We just keep coming back”
Reviewed 8 November 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Whitehill Cottage is the perfect accommodation if you want to relax, unwind and recharge your batteries. It is quietly nestled within the Colebrooke Estate.

The cottage itself has been beautifully restored yet maintains the original features. The lounge provides comfy chairs, sofa and a wood burning stove which is perfect to sit by on the darker nights. In summer there is plenty of outside space including patio seating and a bbq. You may even see the Sika deer.

The kitchen provides everything you would need, including a dishwasher, a Smeg fridge freezer and excellent cooking facilities with a table seating 6.

There are two elegant double bedrooms (king size beds and extremely comfortable) both ensuite, with ample space and wardrobe facilities.

Guests are free to explore the estate and to book treatments at the spa (very good).

We have been here in all the seasons and there is something different to see and do each time. But, whatever the season, the accommodation is the perfect backdrop to a relaxing weekend, or longer.

“Hidden Gem in 1000 Acres of Outstanding Natural Beauty”
Reviewed 8 November 2017 for a stay in October 2017

My wife and I had a wonderful stay on the Brookeborough Estate for 3 days in October. Miriam and David were exceptionally warm, kind, chatty and friendly hosts with an incredible local geographical knowledge and a fascinating encyclopaedic comprehension of the local history. The Brookeborough grounds were perfect for walking with our dog and you will never tire of the scenic rolling hills with abundant flora and fauna. We were lucky enough to see all three cottages while we were there, and they are all beautifully and tastefully renovated. The luxury cottages especially were of a standard that you would never want to leave them! We stayed in the Triumphal Arch Lodge, managed by Irish Landmark Trust. It too was exceptional. Quaint, Old worldly with a beautiful open fire and very comfortable bedrooms, the residence was a much appreciated respite from the City life. Location is only 10mins from the Lakes of Fermanagh, so there is plenty to see and do. We absolutely recommend staying in any of the cottages, and guarantee you will not regret it. We will be back very soon!

This is an amazing cottage set in beautiful surroundings. The cottage is spacious and spotlessly clean. The surroundings are safe for childen with lovely walks and lots of wildlife for them to look at. A warm welcome always awaits from Miriam and David and also a good welcome pack. Nothing is a problem to Miriam and David and they do their utmost to ensure that you have a relaxing stay. I highly recommend colebrooke cottages.

“Wonderful peaceful escape to the country!”
Reviewed 18 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We spent three lovely nights at Whitehill Cottage in Colebrooke Estate in mid November. The cottage is very comfortable and very well equipped. The wood burning stove and the central heating kept us comfortably warm despite the cold weather. The cottage has been beautifully restored, is very tastefully furnished with luxury bedding and everything you could possibly need.
We expecially appreciated the peace and quiet, no street lighting or road noise. It's just the place to recharge the batteries and escape from the busyness of life. WiFi connection was great with plenty of interesting information about the estate and the area.
Thanks to Miriam and David for their warm welcome and helpful advice.
Thanks too to Christopher for taking care of us so well and for making us feel very much at home. We look forward to returning in the very near future.

“Peaceful cottage with wildlife on the doorstep.”
Reviewed 8 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We stayed for a week at the beginning of June, and couldn't have asked for better weather. The cottage is in the middle of the Estate, so is very peaceful. A lovely cottage, to sit outside with a bottle of beer and a book. No need to put your earplugs in and listen to music, when you have the birds singing all around you. On our first morning we saw a Sika Deer and an Irish Hare in the garden. Everyday we took the opportunity to go out and watch the deer and hares. Even seen a Pine Marten. It is always a great privilege to get close to wildlife. Everyone we met on the Estate were so friendly. David and Miriam told us of a couple of lovely cafes and restaurants in Fermanagh.

What would be nice to have in your cottages, is a photo album of before and after photographs of the cottage people are staying in. It shows how much work was put in to getting the cottages ready for holiday rental. We have stayed in other cottages that have been saved in this way. And it is amazing to look through the photos while you are staying in the cottage. I know there is going to be a cottage near this one to be renovated and we look forward to seeing it when it is finished.

“Very relaxing”
Reviewed 10 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We spent a few days here at the beginning of May. The cottage exceeded our expectations; quaint on the outside yet all mod cons on the inside. Interesting to look out of the windows to see deer less than 20 meters away - made up for the lack of wi fi
