Samode Palace is a stunning property filled with culture, soul and beauty. I was given a suite which is by far the most beautiful room I have stayed in and even had a chance to witness some fireworks while I was there. You have to get a hotel tour from the hotel as Samode Palace is a treasure by itself. The designs of room are unique and outstanding. Their staff and Manager were extremely helpful and displayed great service and never too far for a query. Samode also has its own village and a small Fort at the back of the hill if you like to explore. Samode Bagh is also another hotel to visit and could be easily arranged by the hotel. Wonderful experience.

We had an amazing trip to India and visiting Samode was one of the highlights. We were expecting good things from the Samode Palace and whilst the architecture and scale of the building cannot fail to impress, we were a little disappointed with some of the finishing touches. Things like dirty grouting in the bathroom and slightly tired furniture in the bedroom were a bit disappointing from a hotel of this standard. That said, we loved the infinity pool at the top of the building and had two excellent meals there. We would also recommend visiting Samode village and the hilltop fort. And, if you fancy it there is the temple of the monkey god about half an hours walk away from the hotel which was well worth a visit, but probably best you visit with a local guide if it's your first time to the area.

This is a beautiful property with excellent friendly staff. We really loved our one night stay here.
We had booked a delux room, as we were traveling with kids. They gave us an upgrade to a suite and let us choose our room. We chose one overlooking the hills and the swimming pool below. The rooftop infinity pool was lovely too. Food was good (but pricey, which is too be expected in a palace!)
The hospitality is wonderful. We took a guided tour of the royal durbar and sheesh mahal. The panditji, who was our guide, knew exactly how to take photographs of reflections in the sheesh mahal mirrors, so they look like poses framed in the arched mirrors.
The kids enjoyed the puppet show and insisted that we buy a puppet (way more expensive here than in Jaipur).
We took a camel cart ride to the sand dune nearby and also visited Samode Bagh, where hotel guests can stay in tents. Our guide was very friendly and helpful.
Overall, an enjoyable glimpse of Rajput royal life.

It's impossible to suggest which room is best. It's a palace and each room has it's own special character, some dark and mystical, others light airy..Just lovely, I would like to bring a group to India with a stop at the Palace. I had a room off the first terrace at the front of the hotel, a suite really. It was dark with a feel of the period to it, I think of it as dark and cool, a wonderful respite from the hot Indian sun. The room had double wooden doors at the entrance with an "old world key", triple arches greet you to the right of the room, a spacious dressing room is next with a sumptious bath off to the left. Arched doors lead to a patio(couldn't get the doors figured out, and neither could the bellman), I put it down to another charming moment. Loved Samode Palace!

Room Tip: It's impossible to suggest, it's a palace and each room has it's own special character...

Samode Palace in a great residence in the little Samode village. The Palace is wonderful, we stayed at the Palace for one night and it was fantastic. they let us choose our suite but they are all beautiful, all equipped, large and refined. the staff was very appreciable, are offered us a guided tour of the building with the mirror room and the other fantastic rooms.
In the hall there is free wi-fi and both the dinner (indian a la carte menu) and the breakfast were very good.

Room Tip: All rooms are large, complete and simply fantastic!

The palace is a magnificent heritage structure and the restoration work and maintenance is of a very very high qulaity.it has three courtyards and the entrance takes you back in time wherein you feel as if you are entering a royal court. The lighting and ambience is brilliant and the service is extraordinary.

The rooms are luxurious and the amenities are better then a five star luxxury hotel. The views are magnificent and food is of a very high quality. The common areas are lavishly decorated ion the traditional style and are great for a high end get together.
A dream stay

Room Tip: you have to wak quite a bit to reach the upper level but the views are well worth it

Samode palace is a nice place to visit. It is a heritage building but has been expertly converted to a hotel. Swimming pool at the top of the hotel adds to the beauty. The surroundings of the hotel are also nice and one can visit the sand dunes in the evening and do kite flying also. The staff of the hotel is very courteous and gives you all the information you need. Food may not be excellent but many of the items are tasty.

Samode Bagh (nearby to palace) is also managed by the Palace people and provides accomodation in tents. One should visit this also.

Overall its a great place to relax
