“Not worth it”
Reviewed 31 March 2014

This was the 2nd hotel we stayed at on the same day in Sariska. We were able to get the booking immediately without any fuss...maybe because there were so many empty rooms there. The only other guests were a group of school children...who seemed to be around 10 year old.
The 1st room given was a deluxe room, much larger than the usual hotel rooms that we are used to. It had an antique TV, dirty bathroom, broken taps, no water, dirty bathtub. Later on, after my wife's discussion at reception, we were upgraded to a suite.
Suite had cigarette smoke smell and a peculiar smell that we can associate with improper drainage in the bathroom. We decided there to stay only for one night instead of two that we had planned. This room was big but had the usual issues...apart from smell, bathroom was not cleaned, the claw foot tub was stained, taps were broken and overall cleanliness was an issue. A look at the arms of the sofa was enough to decide that sofa is not to be sat on.
Restaurant is a low ceiling unit and was equally dirty along with the worst chairs that I had seen...the grime was everywhere. Breakfast was tasteless. When we were having coffee after the breakfast, one of the so called waiter literally tried to push the chair on which wife was sitting because he had to go to the other side...no request to move aside, just try to push the chair and person away....you get the gist.
Swimming pool was extremely dirty, with water insects visible at least a foot under the water. Per the staff, swimming pool is cleaned once in a quarter.
Food overall is very average.
Now the reason why things were so bad...untrained staff, practically zero supervision on quality.
Not a place that I will recommend to anyone. Though it is a beautiful property but has gone to ruins now...with peeling paints, stains, dirt, zero hygiene, bad food, broken taps, wasps all over etc.
Avoid this place, it is not worth the money and experience.

Stayed with family - booked 2 rooms it is waste of money... Downgraded facility, unhygenic, dusty and unkempt rooms, extra bed - they provided only mattress
The food was not good and there was no variety- 0,
there was no electric kettle, no bed tea, no room service,
only saving grace was surroundings which were very nice.
the hotel is in shambles , no maintennance pathetic service .
it is absolutely no value for money , very expensive and there is no staff to take care of you.

Room Tip: take higher floors only and bargain for good price

If you want to spoil your mood and holidays, go to sariska palace. The scarce staff that they have is non trained villagers who do not understand hospitality
. The manager uday is rude and indifferent. The rooms and the washrooms are extremly dirty, the hot water as they call it is actually cold, Tvs in the rooms do not have cable. We were in a suite and this was the situation. Don't know how worse it would be in the rooms. The food was inedible. You have stray dogs in the property who lick the plates after dinner/lunch. When you complain, no one listens and don't be surprised if you are told to leave the palace if you don't like it. Rooms have webs, linen is dirty , stains on the sofa, a yellowish dirty bathroom with leaking taps, ants on the uncovered sugar cubes, nonworking kettles etc etc etc. we checked in on 28th dec and were to check out on 1st jan. But given the pathetic situation, cancelled our stay and checked out on 29th morning itself spoiling our holidays and our mood. This place should be forced to shut down.

This could be a magnificent place but it needs upgraded and while I applaud employing people from the local community, they need to be adequately trained. The room we stayed in was large and the bed was clean, but that's as much as I can say about it. While the floor had been swept, it had been a long time since it was mopped! The furniture was dusty. I wet some tissues to clean the coffee table. The plumbing and electricity need updating; don't assume you will get a hot shower. The food was very average which was disappointing because most of the hotels we stayed in, even those with an average star rating, served very good food. If I was to do my itinerary again, I would take this national park off my list.

We spent one night in Hotel Sariska Palace on 3rd Jan, 2014.

Given the kind of money they are charging, it is not expected that they hire local people who do not have any courtesy to cater the guests. The food is pathetic, the staff needs an overhaul. I even talked to their Manager who too was very clumsy. There is nothing good except that they are located right across the Sariska Sanctuary gate.

Would never recommend it to anybody.

Room Tip: Do not take the rooms which are in the building itself. Take the ones near garden. They are far off...
