“Just not a bad choice (Good hostel kind of Hotel)”

If you find it useful, make habit of writing reviews, it helps people to find good place in their trip.

I stayed here in deluxe room and review is based on that experience.

Comfort: I would say it is not a bad hotel. Its rooms are decent and clean. Bathrooms are big. Rooms had balcony, most of the rooms balcony is facing their hotel loan only, hence no attractive view from balcony. There are some super deluxe room they might have very far sea view.

"Worst part is double room bed as 2 bed and both are separate from each other like hostel rooms" Couples please pay attention :)

Facilities: The best part about hotel is located right in-front of coast (not elegant beach, just fishermen's boat and dirt). You can view the beauty of sea right from Hotel garden. They have decent play room, swimming pool, good food. Which makes me saying hotel "is not bad choice".

Hotel Staff: Hotel staff seems very good and gentle. However I had a small bad incident, From morning when i reach there, i was asking to bring some water. In spite of calling 6-8 times no one brought the water. I went 2 times to reception and came back asking water. still they said within 5 min water will be in room but no water was provided. May be hotel was too busy that day, but this is very basic thing and such incident should not occur.

Locality: it is not easily approachable hotel, it is located very near to most famous shore temple but there are lot of small streets that you have to cross before reaching to hotel.

Price: Average, I would not say it very economical However in peak season booking room in 3000/- was not very bad. In off season i would not pay more than 1800 to 2000 for such rooms.

Room Tip: Go for rooms that have sea view (very few super deluxe rooms)

after reading majority of positive reviews of Sea breeze I booked it. This was supposed to be my pesudo-honeymoon trip ... but the smile faded soon off ...

1. Don't go here by advance paid booking. go check the room and then pay. I did the mistake paid in advance, when I reached there, I was given room with two separate bed, Although I informed I am coming down with my wife. No doubled bed room was available they said, then they said they'll join the two beds but in different room in first floor, which was very dirty and very small. room wasn't at all worth the money we paid (3K per night), then we had to wait for 1.5 hours to get another room which someone was vacating. Same issue, two separate bed joined together.

2. Two beds weren't aligned, so the whole night, it was making noise, and the rat case... damn thing bit in the middle of the night, I was bleeding. Couldn't sleep the whole night.

3. Then beach, near resort, dirty as hell, morning i went there, and people were shitting near the side walls.

4. Hotel water is bad, so I had to buy bottle all the damn time.

good thing about the place,

1. pool was good and relaxing.
2. property is big and very green.
3. few of the staff members are helpful few are outright rude.
4. close to all the major attraction of Mahabalipuram.

at the end of the way, it's all about, if you enjoy your holiday... I didn't !!

Room Tip: try and take rooms in ground floor. they are big and relatively better.

The resort is close to beach & not a beach resort as the way to beach is pathetic with fisherman boats & dirty water & waste all the way. Rooms are old & not well maintained. Food was good but again the food court was pathetic. No games in the resort except chess board. I would advice to find some other place.

Room Tip: Can go for sea facing rooms.

I had stayed here earlier and picked the hotel again when I was headed to the town alone this time.
The good stuff-
They have ample parking space if you are driving, a rare thing in this town.
The rooms are quite reasonable and even the cheapest room is big and has a nice balcony.
The food is quite decent

The bad stuff -
The room telecom and intercom were broken
Called room service via cell phone a couple of times but no one turned up
Finally went down to the restaurant, which is nice and open but covered with flies. The hotel didn't seem to want to do anything about it either.
it's a safe hotel if you are travellingalone. Else there are nicer places around for cheap.

A very well laid out by the sea hotel/ resort. Rooms are very welcoming and spacious for the prices. Food was reasonably good and beers cold enough :). Restaurant staff very helpful and always willing to customize the menu items on request.

They have a nice backyard with a beach like setup on one side and Kerala like on the other side(a.k.a lots of greenry). They provide beds to laze around in the beach sand within the hotel.
A good swimming pool which is big enough to hold plenty of people. From the htoel you can walk down to the beach anytime and for trekkers they can walk further down to try and get into the Sea shore temple which is very well visible from this resort.

The one thing we did not quite like was the enormous( trust me this is not an exaggeration) amount of mosquitoes within the Hotel premises. To top this - the mosquito vapours in our rooms much to our chagrin were not working. Had to walk to the reception at 2am to get working ones... yawn!
We did bring out this issue to the hotel management in very clear terms, hopefully with many months passed by since our visit things might have improved.

All in all I would say this hotel should be the preferred destination for tourists in Mahabalipuram.

Room Tip: the ground floor rooms are most convenient.

I stayed here in Dec 2012 along with family in sea facing rooms. We enjoyed having pool, beach, kerla massage and proximity to market and all restaurant. good place to stay but needs improvement in breakfast menu.
