We stayed from 9th June to 12th June at Panchachuli house. The best hospitality with all warmth of home. Food quality is superb. Never felt need of anything more. Location is excellent with mesmerising Himalayan range view. Rooms are with all the comfort and luxury of a hotel. Felt like a worthful escape from the usual.
Mr. Kamal Mehra (Owner) is an awesome host and very helpful with a pleasant smile, He guided us better than google maps for the perfect way to every location at mukteshwar. Rakesh (Service boy) is also very helpful. I recommend this home to everyone specially families and couples.
So on my birthday in June, we planned to go to Mukteshwar. Of course, it is the peak season and so the hotel prices and availability was an issue. My friend cam to the rescue and saw this beautiful homestay and instantly booked it.
This place, although only locals will be able to tell you, is suitably located where all the local buses go. From the main road cuts a kachha rasta and after a 10-15 minute walk, you spot this wonderful house, seems as if situated on the edge of the mountain with a big porch.
We spent two nights and wish could spend more, super impressed by Kamal Ji, his wife, two children and caretaker Rakesh Bhaiya. They are very warm and welcoming and always happy to talk to.
I can't thank them enough for their excellent hospitality and yum food. They even baked a special cake for me on my birthday night. Not to forget the lovely chutney and pickles and simple yet delicious food. (We bought plum chutney and pickles for a very nominal price)
The rooms were clean and maintained. We were lucky that we got the best room with a huge window where you see the sunrise and sunset from your bed. For a fun evening, you can play carrom and cards as well.
I spent an entire evening on the second day outside in their garden, where it also started drizzling and spoke so much with Kuhu. Kamal - if you are reading this, give her my love and tell her I miss her. She's lovely.
Also, if you are fit enough then, you can easily move around the market. Else, suggest to via your own vehicle so that it is not hectic enough.
Such a peaceful and pleasant time it was.
A home stay from home, one can count on Panchachuli House in Mukteshwar for its tranquility, peacefulness and serenity.
The place takes you to the different world altogether. The flora and fauna is soothing to the eyes with no air pollution and noise pollution.
The warmth and hospitality of Kamal Mehra and Anu was abounding.
The food served is majorly organic grown in their kitchen garden. We really savoured the home cooked food and especially the chocolate walnut cake baked for special occasion was sumptuous.
Must Visit The Place For Its Angelic Beauty!!
My mukteshwar trip became so memorable just because of this marvellous stay at this location. It's not a resort, it's another home. Everything from the bedding, location to food was just perfect. Me and my partner extended our stay .... actually we never wanted to leave it is that soothing, serine and happening (of course, the first thing we used to see after getting up were Himalayas .... you don't get to wake up next to Himalayas everyday). We would like to visit again to enjoy the BBQ and Bon fire
Picture: view from the bed
The location is amazing. This is a great family-friendly place with great food with a stunning view of sunrise. Thanks for the wonderful holiday Mr. Kamal Mehra. We'll visit again.
Panchachuli House is a recent addition to the hospitality scene in Mukteshwar. Nestled on a hillside off the main road, it is a quaint little place offering a fantastic view of the hills in front and the Panchachuli range on your left.
The large glass window dominates the wall in all the 4 rooms that are available and you can enjoy the sunrise even as you lie in your bed.
The place is small and well managed by Kamal with his family and a small band of staff. Food is homemade as per your preference.
This is not a hotel in name nor in its spirit and Kamal ensures that the smallest needs of his guests gets his personal attention.
The philosophy of the owner-manager is apparent in the organic farms, hothouse, rain water harvesting, use of solar energy and local materials that are used in the construction, and the passion continues in every aspect of the operations.
It's an ideal place for a few days of peace and quite with some local attractions including a wonderful hidden waterfall to visit if you are so inclined.
Do however keep a torch handy should you want to go exploring after dark.
Warmest homestay experience in the Hills. Extremely Clean. Magnificent view. Family friendly. Couple friendly. Singles friendly.
There is a reason why Panchachuli House is not called a resort or a hotel. It is as comfortable and welcoming as our home.
4 of us decided to head to Mukteshwar for the 26th Jan weekend. Throughout the journey Kamal ji guided us the route to take and in the battle between Google Maps and him, Kamal ji was the clear winner.
The house is a little off the road which makes it ideal for solace seekers. The house is made up of rock and wood which gives it an earthy vibe. There is a lawn, an outer drawing room, an inner drawing cum dining room, 3 bedrooms which can accommodate 3 people each and 1 bedroom which can accommodate 5 people. Each room has an attached bathroom with running hot water. They have an open kitchen which is accessible at will. In fact some of us exchanged recipes with the cooks out there.
The two vital helps out there Chandan and Rakesh ensure that there is no issue with your comfort. Each night we had the option of sitting by a bonfire. Along with the bonfire Kamal ji arranged for roasted chicken and pakodas.
In the morning we saw the sunrise and calling it picturesque would be an understatement. On day one there was fog but on day two when it cleared up the entire Panchachuli range was visible which was grand and completely laden by snow. Besides the stay you can take a walk till Mukteshwar temple and the cliff point which provides another scenic sight. It is around 3 kms away.
In case you plan to head to the hills and find some peace with a generous sprinkle of visual delight then do not think twice, pack your bags and head to Panchachuli house.
