This is a great affordable, beachfront option. The continental breakfast is served on the hotel's lovely beachfront patio. The hotel is in easy walking distance from the restaurant/shopping street and about a quarter mile from the ferry -- an easy walk with luggage. Lynn, the owner, and staff work hard to accommodate. Beds not that comfortable, and showers small, but for a beachfront option in this price range, we found it worth the tradeoff.

We stayed for 8 nights at hotel Boulis and fully enjoyed it there.
The location is really just 5 minutes from the Kamares Port and about 20 meters from the beach.
All staff members are very welcoming and helpful with whatever concern you might have. Lyn, the manager, is a really sensitive host who makes you feel comfortable from the beginning. Eg: we were late for breakfast and thought just to have a coffee at the restaurant in the courtyard which wasn't opened yet, so Lyn just made us some coffee and tea, though it was our mistake not to consider the opening hours... It's these small gestures that show you that a host is really passionate about the work.
The rooms are clean and sober with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The Kafenes restaurant in the courtyard really is as charming as on the pictures and in our judgment we've had the most delicious food on the island in this restaurant.
It's true that the internet connection wasn't always working very fast, but in the end of the day we didn't really care about that during our holiday.
Breakfast is optional and it offers a buffet of continental breakfast with bread, jam, honey, butter, cheese, charcuterie, corn flakes, yoghurt and so on. It was really ok and also the price of 5 EUR is correct. But if you prefer, as I personnaly do, a more fruity breakfast, with cereals and fresh fruit, you might go to one af the cafes along the beach.
The overall experience is just excellent and it was really a sad moment when the holiday ended...

Excellent quality price ratio, position, breakfast, quite, kindness. Boules allowed an early morning swimming before breakfast which is a great start of the day in Sifnos. Also included a taverna which I have never tried as I fell in love with Captain Andreas taverna few meters far from the hotel

Had a very pleasant 5 night stay at the Boulis, nice clean rooms, good breakfast, very good host only downside was WiFi was patchy to say the least, which was a problem for my 18yr old but not me!!
Lynne the owner was very helpful in ringing rooms and negotiating prices for our stay on the next leg of our trip the day before we left and put on a very good breakfast every morning.
Hotel had guests from Australia,America,France and Scandanavia whilst we were there which made for a very good atmosphere.
Would not hesitate to stay here again

Nice an clean rooms. Relaxing patio area. Excellent hosts and a place to make new friends. Situated close to the beach in Kamares, yet peacefully located. Excellent restaurant too, with local food made with love! We will most certainly be back soon!

My wife and I have been on a small town Europe tour for six weeks and this was our third greek island stop . First we didn't ask for a port pick up , so we walked to the hotel with all of our luggage . We thought the pick up thing was a normal thing like all the other islands we have been too . It was not the normal greek welcome with the sit down and have a cool drink and talk a bit about the island . Our room was one of only a few with a sea view on the second floor , but with no shade in the evening , it was a little unbearable to sit out on the balcony after returning from the beach all day . Lyn was very pleasant , but we felt the hotel was a little too big for us and we were just a number . I know we were not from Austrailia , like many of the other guests , but we didn't get the hospitality we usually get from other greek hotels .
The restaurant had great food and servers , ( prices a little steep , when you consider they grow their own vegetables and don't have to pay to ship them in ) and even Adonis was very greek with his warm hospitality . But he is in the kitchen ....
All in all , it felt a little institutional , but it was clean and close to the beach and port .
One last thing ... The wifi is just outright terrible here !!!! If you need to keep in touch with your family or office back home , forget it . People sitting in the lobby and hallways , attempting to get a small part of a signal . It is evident that they don't want to spend the time and money to upgrade the system so that you could have a good connection in your room .
To us , this is a major downfall and we will not return here when we come back to Sifnos . Sorry :(

Just stayed at hotel Boulis for 8 nights its a great hotel in a fantastic spot. The owners Lyn and Adonis are friendly hosts if you want information their on hand if you want to be left alone they recognise this.
There restaurant opened for the season the night before we were to book out, we would highly recommend you eat there, Adonis is totally passionate about his cooking and this shows so enjoy a meal there.
We are looking forward to returning next year.
