Willkris Resort, A good place to relax.

Review of Willkris Resort
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 Apr 2012
I stayed here for 2 nights recently and was pleasantly surprised as many places booked on the internet are not what they appear to be in the photos. This one was better.
This hotel was very clean and modern with good facilities including free wi-fi and friendly owners and staff.
Date of stay: March 2012
Room Tip: you can get a bicycle from reception and cycle 5 minutes to the beach; another very good beach is...

Stayed at the Willkris for 5 nights over New Year 2011.
Our room was on the ground floor and was clean and well furnished. Air con was excellent.
The room opened directly on to the pool, which although small was never overcrowded, there is also the benefit of a hot tub.
The hosts though are what makes the stay most pleasurable as they are amongst the most welcoming we have ever come across and it truly comes over a family business..
As others have commented, the range and quality of food available is great, there is also the addition of free wifi access and a large library of Dvd,s that can be borrowed.
There is a thai market on saturdays and the beach is maybe 5 min walk from the resort which is quite narrow and became crowded over the New Year holiday period.
Approx 50 yds up the road from Willkris there is also a great little place that sells excellent Kuaytiaw should you want to eat elsewhere.
All in all a great little find.

I'm currently at Willkris and it's really first class. Owner Keith and his wife spare no time and expense in making this hotel a 'must stay' in Bangsare. Here are some salient points:

* Spotlessly clean

* Home made cuisine to die for. All fresh. Do try the mussels; the spaghetti and meatballs and the pizzas

* Very spacious rooms with powerful aircon and ceiling fan. Quality furniture and fitments. Fabulous bathroom and shower with hot water and clean linens

Can't recommend highly enough.

Room tip: Ask for a room like mine - 201 - no direct sun on balcony of room in the afternoon.

A friend and I stayed two night in Bang Saray at the Willkris Resort. A small family ran resort located in this quiet town. The rooms are in a two story building all facing the pool area. ground floor rooms have a patio in front and second floor rooms have a balcony. The rooms are a comfortable size, good air conditioning with a ceiling fan also in the room and very nice furniture. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Free wifi and they even have bicycle for two available. Motor scooter rental at $5 a day. great staff

We were in Thailand for 4 nights in Bang Saray for a family birthday gathering and decided to stay locally rather than in one of the big nameless hotels in Pattaya (and away from the craziness of the tourist areas in Pattaya & Jomtien)

Thu was the most amazing woman - organised and ran the place so well - calm, friendly, good sense of humour and so efficient and also a fantastic cook! The family atmosphere is lovely and being in a small family owned resort gave us a sense of connection to the village. Nothing was too much trouble for Thu and the staff to organise - taxi from the airport, motorbike to cruise around, yummy food (local and Western although I loved the Thai food) and a lovely clean room. It is such good value and the breakfast included is great. The staff are just lovely.

Our favourite experience was the village market on Saturday morning, the best curries, bbq sweetcorn, pancakes with custard, fruit, fresh fruit and all so inexpensive! The daily fish market is interesting, and Bang Saray is a lovely laid back little village.

Thank you so much for a wonderful time and for being so friendly and hospitable.

Room tip: Upstairs rooms are quieter
