“Absolutely Superb.”

This is the second time we have stayed at SheepFank and it did not disappoint !!!! We arrived to a warm welcome and were given a cup of tea and a sweet treat served to us in the front garden that is a nice sun trap with excellent countryside views.
The room was 5 star, modern and clean with good views from all windows in the room. The breakfasts were absolutely yummy and will fill you up for the day ahead. The porridge was very nice. The cooked breakfast was good with good produce used. Jeff and Jane, the owners, are very helpful and welcoming, and will give you information on local events, attractions and restaurants. We will definately be back again soon!!!!!

Very quiet, but lovely surroundings;
A warm and lovely place to stay, with a wonderful breakfast.
Very nice and friendly houselady.

If there is a next time that we will be in that corner of Scotland, we definitively will come back.

We were in the family room which was very spacious and had a king-sized bed in addition to a twin (there would be lots of room to put another child in a cot.) It's very bright with windows on three sides and a skylight. The property is across from a large farm field, and being spring, was filled with lambs! We woke up each morning to the sound of the babbling brook, birds, and lambs - it was very pastoral :) The breakfast room is very bright and airy and the breakfasts are huge and delicious. The hosts are very welcoming and gave us lots of valuable information about the local sights and restaurants. We met many interesting fellow-travellers, many of whom were on diving vacations off Mull, and the host himself is a diver. We would go back to Sheep Fank Cottage in a flash!!

Room Tip: The family room has views out three sides of the house, with a babbling brook out the one side.

We stayed here on 1st June for one night and it was excellent. We had 2 rooms both doubles and both amazing. It's child friendly and our 1 year old and 2 year old slept really well. Jane the owner was brilliant, on the way to the guest house our 1 year old was very sick in the car seat and Jane helped my husband with cleaning products to clean thesp seat. We were very late arriving with 2 grumpy children and Jane did everything she could to help us get them to bathed and in bed. The breakfast was fantastic and location brilliant. We stayed with my mum and we all had a great night and morning. Would I stay there again....definitely.

Room Tip: All rooms are great. If you've got kids go for mull as its bigger.

Sheep Fank Cottage is a lovely modern house set in rural surroundings. The rooms are large, immaculate and very well appointed.

One always gets a warm welcome from Jane who also gives great advice about where to go and what to see.

Breakfast is superb home cooking with local products and fills one up for most of the day.

The house is in a narrow lane at Dugdale, Kilmore, about 3 miles south of Oban, and the best approach is from the south, rather than from Oban - Jane gives good directions and the house is well signposted.

We have done a lot of B&Bs and have found this one has spoiled us for all the rest which, however good they are, seem to lack something compared to Sheep Fank.

The beds are large and very comfortable and if you leave the windows open you awake to the sound of sheep in the field opposite - where we have also seen herons.

Iona and Mull rooms are brilliant and have spacious en-suite WC & shower - remember to take slippers though because you are asked to leave outdoor shoes in the porch.

We love going to Oban just to stay here because the quality of the accommodation can really impact on your enjoyment of a holiday and Sheep fank is just the icing on the cake.

We thoroughly recommend Sheep fank and are sure you will not be disappointed if you stay there.

Room Tip: Iona, at the back of the house is enormous with one end of the room as a 'sitting room' area...

We stayed here for three nights in August 2011. Jane was wonderful...full of suggestions each day and made sure that we started each day with a wonderful breakfast. We were in the room with twin beds and bathroom across the hall. Our friends were in the king room with bath....both rooms were very comfortable. There are remains of an old church and stone circles that are very easy to walk to. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: King room has small bath. Twin room has large (very nice) bath across the hall.

We stayed here in September 2011 for two nights. Sheep Fank is 5 - 10 minutes' drive from Oban, and situated in an attractive glen. We had a very comfortable twin room, immaculately clean and very quiet, with a large private bathroom across the corridor. The evening meal (one) and breakfasts (two) were excellent, and the hosts welcoming, friendly and helpful. We'd happily recommend this B & B.
