“very poor hotel”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

First time when I saw this hotel I think it look not bad because it location near the Kawaguchiko lake. But when I got in room , I smell something poor. Room is so old and the heater is broken with so much dust. The mosquito were in the room too.The best thing in this hotel is onzen on 4th floor with Mount Fuji view.

The hotel looks very nice from the outside, but was disappointing when we came in. It is very old, and needs serious restoration work. The rooms are big, but weren't very clean. The wi-fi is only available in the lobby.
The location is not bad, facing the Kawaguchicko lake, but unfortunately, the area of Mt. Fuji's five lakes doesn't seem to be very attractive and there weren't many options of restaurants around and not much to do.
The transport service to take us to the train station was very useful.
Overall, too expensive for what is offered. Wouldn't recommend it to my friends.

The only good thing of this hotel is that you can see the Mt.Fuji from the top-floor onsen.
But for overall for this hotel, everything is old. I think they need urgent renovation.
The cleanliness is an issue from the old building, bedroom, furniture, and common area like bath and onsen.
I also smell the gas at the lobby in every time I getting out and in to the hotel.
I guessed they are using the old lamp or heater but this makes my impression goes down and start to imagine about the horror movie.
Finding some food is also difficult especially at night as the LAWSON convenient store is about 8 minutes walking in the quiet dark.

Room Tip: Even the Japanese-style room, the bed is old and odored. I understand that they have a new building...

The location is not bad. You can reach there from train station by walk or Taxi. The hotel is clean. Staffs are friendly and kindness. I choose Japanese style room and the room is very big, if you compare the room in city. There are completely facilities in room. In the hotel, 4th floor, there is on-sen, so you can relax after you travel around. The restaurant is not far from the hotel. My room can't not take Mt. fuji view.

We booked to this hotel for 2 nights last week of Nov 8-9 2013, and we Checked out the next day due to stinky smell, filty surroundings and many Mosquitos inside the room and the hotel is dead...as in dead ! No activities, dirty old rotten hotel, the lobby smells like kerosine.
The hotel is old and there's no problem with that, but being dirty and filty is another story....
I will never stay on this place again.....so so disappointed !

From the station it’s a 15 min walk, first impression was little hotel in the mountains. Once we were inside, the hotel is old, smelly, stuffy carpets, cracks everywhere, not maintained! The room we booked was large, traditional tatami room with large windows overlooking the lake (only positive thing). The famous baths with view on the Mount Fuji-san are old, dirty and the worst is that people outside can see you. Not so many dinner options around. We have rented bikes from a nearby shop, great to do an afternoon and have the scenic views on the Fuji and Lakes, which was the best part.
We stayed as we had it booked for just 1 night, but wouldn’t recommend it!

I was not impressed at all with this hotel. The rooms were run down with stains all over the carpets , walls, and chair covers. They also used kerosene heaters which made the whole entire hotel smell like gas. The breakfast was 1500yen ($15) which consisted of one egg, one small piece of sausage, a store bought yogurt, a small salad, and some fresh fruit. The onsen (community bath) was run down and not even that hot. The sauna didn't even work. Bad experience for 25000yen a night.

Room Tip: I would not go here.
