Owner description: Wingham Wildlife Park is set within 26 acres in which we display over 200 different species... That is more than any other zoo in Kent! Including some species not seen anywhere else in zoos in the UK, Europe and even the world! As well as the all important animal collection we have 2 large play areas (both indoors and outdoors, making them fun all year), 2 restaurants (although one may be shut in the winter season) and a wide variety of animal talks, encounters and experiences!

We visited here recently as a family of 8 with 2 under fives.
The talks about tigers, lemurs and penguins we're fantastic, the keepers came across as really loving the animals.
The location and setting are great, it has the feel of a small intimate collection rather than a pure profit driven zoo.
The animal pens and large enough and provide plenty of space for the animals to roam whilst allowing viewers to watch them.
Would happily return again if we were in the area again.

Since our last visit a new building is under construction which will house the booking office and obligatory gift shop, presumably to trap you on the way out hoping you'll spend even more on overpriced items to fund it. Generally the park is well kept but some of the paths need sorting as they're uneven and not very wheelchair friendly as I noticed an elderly person wincing as she was being pushed along them. One big gripe, the only way you can keep track of feeding times and keeper talks is to refer to the notice board as you enter so surely a print-out could be given out with the park guide to save missing some of them. Great news the elusive red panda on our last visit has a mate and both could be seen doing their thing, most enjoyable as they're very photogenic! One last observation, there's no disabled parking designation close to the entrance. Judging by the massive gaps between some cars, it's inconsiderate parking and an attendant shepherding them in wouldn't go amiss then late comers could get nearer the entrance.

The high spot was the way in which the keepers interacted with the animals , espeicially the penguins and the otters..The park and the experience has improved beyond compare.

Amazing place to go, it was a hot day and still managed to see all the animals, all the birds and chickens are loose so they must be tame as it's a children's attraction, cheap entry fee compared to a zoo as well.! Lots of animals to see including a butterfly walkway and a bat cave, the tame animals we were able to stroke which was lovely, only thing letting the place down is the cafe and the prices egg on toast £2.20 which was one egg and one slice of toast, but other wise excellent place to take your children for a day out
