“Great day out”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

Loved this cruise with the snorkelling, glass bottom boat, very funny crew and amazing BBQ fish lunch. They take you to a great part of the lagoon where coral and fish are abundant. Its a must do for visitors to Rarotonga.

“Great fun in the sun!”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

Captain Tama's boys really know how to have a good time. This was a great day out. We were collected from our hotel and taken to the departure point where we were entertained by the boys - singing, playing ukuleles and joking with the guests while we waited for everyone to arrive. We then set off in a glass-bottom boat out into the lagoon for an hour or so's snorkelling. Our captain and crew were great, giving first time snorkellers lots of instruction and help, and advice to the more advanced. After snorkelling we were taken to an island in the lagoon and served a scrumptious barbecue lunch with a great variety of food - barbecued fish, bananas, lots of salads and fruit. Following this the boys provided some light-hearted entertainment based on island culture - a sarong-tying demonstration, gathering and husking coconuts and singing island songs accompanied by ukuleles and drums. These boys are great entertainers. Don't miss this tour, but make sure you take your sunhat and sunscreen - you will need these while you sit on the beach having your lunch.

“Snorkeling, food, and entertainment!”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

Wow, what a great experience! We came expecting a simple snorkeling tour, and ended up with so much more! The staff were so funny, energetic, and friendly, cracking jokes and singing songs - and thats before we'd even got on the boat. We were then taken out onto the reef, and were able to get in to the water, snorkeling around with hundreds of beautiful colored fish - it was amazing. All the snorkel gear was provided, and the water was nice and warm (despite the gloomy weather), so was absolutely magical. After we'd all had enough, we were shuttled on to another small island for a BBQ feast, with drinks, beers, fish, bananas, and lots of other yummies - wow, the fish was so tasty! The staff entertained us with songs, showed us how to climb coconut trees and open the coconuts, and even how to tie sarongs, which was all done in their humorous style. The tour went for most of the day, and was a wonderful time for all of us - would definitely recommend it for all tourists to get a full overview of the snorkeling and island culture in a fun and light-hearted way.

Reviewed 29 September 2013 via mobile

Second time doing captain tamas lagoon cruise, the staff are fun loving and very welcoming, the snorkelling is good and if your not comfortable snorkelling u can hold the rail on the side of the boat or stay on the boat and look at the fish through the glass bottom, the island BBQ is delicious and if there is something u can't eat let them know when booking and they will try cater for u. Strongly recommend it for anybody and everybody well worth your money epically if first time to Cook Islands
