It has been 12 years since we had stayed in Rarotonga and this hotel was the best ever we have stayed in even better than Fiji which we have been going to for over 40 years. The room, staff, environment and things to do were so great, the food was excellent as well. We stayed in mid July and we are returning again in September. Even the weather was great. Everyone was so helpful. There are plenty of dogs around the beach but they are all very friendly and they go home to where they live at night, they even help with people learning to paddle board.

Room Tip: Beachfront suites are very good. Plenty of room and outdoor patio right on the beach.

We visited for a week and absolutely loved it.
The location on the beachfront was superb and the facilities were great.
We visited during school holidays, so it was a huge plus for us that it was an R18 hotel. We were able to sit with drinks by the pool without having to worry about kids running all round us. It was heavenly.
The staff were excellent. Hayley was incredibly helpful about places to visit, and one of the highlights was her guided snorkel tour for us and some other guests. It was stunning. We It's hard found all of the staff so friendly and helpful. They should be really proud of the woman who does the massage and beauty therapy - she's a real gem.
The food was really good. The breakfasts were good and we thoroughly the Polynesian banquet night. It was a real feast. There were also great eating places within walking distance of the hotel.
We loved the ease of hiring scooters on site, and having free access to kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear
The manager's introduction night was great because we made some firm friends there who we're in touch with now back home in NZ.
We will definitely be back. Thanks to Erika and her staff for an unforgettable holiday. See you again soon. Catherine and Cheryl

MBCH is a great place to stay in a great location right on the lagoon. Loved the no children rule especially around the pool Buffet breakfast was amazing. Free snorkel gear was fantastic as was the free stand up paddle boards. We got a great deal and I'd recommend staying here for sure.

Stayed here in April for our honeymoon. Had a great time!

Location: The Hotel is situated right on the beach of Muri lagoon. The lagoon is crystal clear and one of the best places in rarotonga to snorkel. The Hotel is about 10 mins drive from the airport.

Staff: We found the staff generally friendly and helpful.

The Room: The room we had was spotlessly clean( and cleaned daily) The room was a beachfront room and the view was spectacular to say the least. Rooms were spacious but not overly big. Shower was nice and big, and had great pressure. Room had all the basic features of a hotel ( fridge, kettle, tv, safe etc) Bed was very soft and comfortable. Air conditioning had individual controls and worked well. Noise wasn't an issue in the entire time we stayed.

The Grounds: Grounds of the hotel were excellent and well kept. The pool was nice however there were a few broken tiles that needed fixing.

The food and drink: The food was nice, but nothing overly impressive. We preferred to eat elsewhere at the various restaurants along the beach. Drinks were great! particularly recommend the snickers/peanut butter cocktails!

Scooter hire: Scooter hire was reasonably priced and scooters were in good working order. We hired one for three days. You can ride all the way around the island in about 45 mins! The staff were helpful in providing us with a temp licence.

The hotel was also happy to organise outings etc. Highly recommend the glass bottom boat tour (captain tamas). Also, take a drive out to the island waterfall.

Room Tip: A beachfront room on the second story is great for relaxing on the balcony with spectacular views.

We stayed in a Premier Garden room and found it to be excellent. Having two queen beds was a bonus. The service was always friendly and helpful, especially from Raj, Pauline and the team in the restaurant. We found the food to be excellent, with the Polynesian night being the highlight. It was a little awkward to see the show without standing up and moving around as our table was at the back, but it is a small space to have this type of show in. The swimming pool was wonderful, did change colour a couple of times but the staff soon remedied that. My wife used the spa services a few times and found them to be excellent also. Hayley took a group further down the lagoon to do snorkelling and feed the Giant Trevally and the Moray Eel. A lot of fun. All in all our stay in MBCH was very enjoyable and we would have no hesitation in staying there again.
We stayed for 7 days from 11 to 18 July.
