We have just spent a really enjoyable weekend at the Martinfield Manor B&B.
The accommodation was of a very good standard. Rooms were comfortable and well equipped.
As well as the usual tea/ coffee making facilities & biscuits, bottled water and sweets were provided. The breakfasts were very nice and always freshly cooked.

The car park is big enough for the number of rooms and the venue is well placed to walk into the centre of New Romney, where there is a good selection of restaurants & pubs etc.
There is a well maintained and sizeable garden which is pleasant to sit in or for a stroll.
The owners are friendly & helpful.
The only negative thing to say is the outside swimming pool was not maintained/ ready for use, but maybe it will later in the season.

All in all a very enjoyable weekend and I would definitely go back.

We recently stayed at the Martinfield Manor Bed & Breakfast with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation here.
The Martinfield Manor is located at one end of New Romney High Street as you enter from the Brenzett roundabout direction. This location was ideal for us as our weekend itinery was taking us out and about in the area (using the RH&DR as a convenient mode of transport) and eating in the local restaurants in the High Street during the evenings.
The venue has a large car park capable of accommodating all guests cars (assuming 1 per room), and is easy to find even if you are new to the area. Our room was located up a flight of stairs and was clean with a comfortable bed and well equipped shower room and toilet. We noticed that there were also bedrooms located on the ground floor which may be important if you wish to avoid stairs. The room included tea and coffee making facilities, and little extras such as biscuits, chocolates and small sweets, there was even a bowl of mints in the main hallway. Our room had a small television which was very adequate for casual viewing. We slept well for both nights and although in close proximity to the main road through New Romney, there was not much traffic noise during the night, and in fact we thought we heard two owls calling to each other during the night.
The house has a very large and well-kept garden mainly to lawn and if I was to visit again I would try and spend some time here as it looked a very relaxing way to pass a few hours on a sunny afternoon. There was even a small swimming pool, although we did not use this during our stay.
Our host was very friendly and took an informal interest in our plans for the weekend which does make a difference I find. We had selected a bed and breakfast tariff and the breakfast consisted of a cereal or fruit buffet with tea coffee or fruit juices to compliment these. Also available was a very good fried breakfast delivered to the table freshly cooked straight from the kitchen.
Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at the Martinfield Manor and may well consider spending another weekend here in the future. I would certainly recommend the venue for couples looking for a weekend break.

as soon as you meet the immaculate landlady you get a sense of what high standards you are likely to enjoy from this lovely B & B. Very warm welcome, very clean great decor and cosy comfort. breakfast was tasty and plentiful, just the right way to sart the day
