The place, built of grey concrete, used to be a 'resting-home' during Soviet times where I had stayed as a kid. It has changed since, but not by much.
The rooms are clean but fitted out in cheaply-looking IKEA-style furniture. Hallways are barely lit which does not help when looking for one's room number. There are just two or three visible channels on the TV, remaining two or so are broadcast in subpar quality (over the air obviously, no cable or digital).
On our arrival, we were asked to pay in advance for our entire stay. After some haggling they agreed we could pay upon checkout. This turned out to be a good decision because we decided to leave the place after just two days of continous rain. They checked if we had paid everything in full yet, and upon learning we hadn't said we could go, paying only for the days actually stayed. Thumbs-up for not charging for the third night, but thumbs-down for trying to get payment in advance in the first place!
It is difficult to recommend this place - except maybe when you consider the overall poor choice (and exorbitant prices) in the area. We'll probably skip it next time.
