Having travelled from Australia and stopping over at three previous hotels, this was a gem of a place. Really spacious & comfy rooms and wow breakfast was so fresh and tasty. Would definitely stay here again...such friendly staff, made us feel welcome.

The outside does not reflect the inside ,
What a very pleasant surprise I received when i had the pleasure in staying at the farmers Kitchen in wexford recently. Its Was my first and by no means my last thats for sure. The rooms were big well laid out and had all I needed, including wifi. The location was great. They have a nice sized bar and excellent staff. The main surprise was the food ,we had our xmas meal here and it was excellent the type I have received at so called top of the range restaurants , The breakfast the next day was just what the doctor ordered. I would have no problem recommending this venue foe the pub food or accommodation. Gary/Margaret Costello

Great location for the area, easy access to Wexford and major roads. We stayed 3 nights and were verrry pleased! Staff was friendly and helpful overall, but Brandon (or is it Brendan) and Ursula were absolute marvels. We never asked for anything that wasn't taken care of in detail by them. They took care of our laundry (there's a story to that), gave recommendations and directions for everything local, even got information so we could attend the local church on Sunday. We ate breakfast there and found everything well made and plentiful. Room was well appointed, clean, and quiet too. The restaurant and bar appear to be popular with locals.

We highly recommend visiting the Irish Heritage park. Very informative, reasonably priced, good food, and an suuuper nice gift shop. Plan a few hours for the entire walk around, maybe more with kiddies. It's just up the road a bit.

We ate in Kilmore Quay, a quaint village just down the road. Saltee's Chipper is the name of the place and the food is good.

Wexford is very close by and a delightful walking town. We did get lost there and had to ask directions to the carpark. You absolutely have to find a place to park as soon as you get there as everything is within walking distance. Driving Wexford streets is not a good idea :o( but there's plenty of well-marked parking in town.

We highly recommend Farmer's Kitchen as a grrreat place to stay.

Room Tip: It appears they're remodeling so expect things to be even better than when we were there.

Nice hotel, well located for nearby Wicklow town and the Ferry Port at Rosslare.
The facilities such as the restaurant and bars are open to the public so it can get busy at times, but this isn't really a problem.
Fair price for a clean, well located hotel.

Stayed at farmers kitchen for 2 nights. Check in although efficient was cold and unfriendly. Room was good size, slight smell of damp in bathroom. Decided to eat in the bar, ordered chicken wings and 2 burgers. Chicken wings were tasteless and under-cooked, burgers were way to heavily seasoned with what tasted like dried herbs. Room was serviced on second day but wet towels were left on the bathroom floor and bin was not emptied. Rang down to reception to ask them to take the towels away and placed them outside my door, they were not removed until the next morning. For the price we paid in future I would rather pay the extra 20 or 30 euro and stay in either of the 4 star hotels nearby.
