“Curtailed.......but perfect.”
Reviewed 19 March 2014

We arrived 4 days late due to a family bereavement and were hugely impressed by all aspects of our stay. The hotel was straightforward but very well run and with excellent catering and was extremely clean. We shall return for a full week in the future!

Room Tip: Request the more modern wing.

We stayed here having booked a ski holiday with Inghams. After a frustrating transfer (dis)organised by Inghams , we finally arrived at the hotel at 7pm - just as dinner was being served. We were greeted warmly by our waiter, Daniel, who then looked after us with great care and attention throughout our week long stay. The food was really good although far too much - salad buffet, followed by soup or pasta etc, followed by a choice of 4 main courses, followed by a choice of two puddings! During our week there was also a gala dinner and a traditional Tyrolean dinner. The service from Daniel and the bar staff was excellent throughout the week. Daniel even packed us a 'breakfast picnic' for our last day as we were leaving at 3am! Enough about food, now for the rest of the hotel. The wellness area was very peaceful although only open from 4pm to 7pm daily. The pool area was nice but we only used it once as the week we visited was carnival week and the pool was therefore full of children and not very relaxing. The hotel room was quite small but was very comfortable and clean. There was plenty of storage space and a small fridge. We had a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel - great views and no noise as Colfosco is a very quiet village. The hotel is just across the road from the slope so very little walking in ski boots and you can almost ski back to the door by taking the Eldelweiss cable car up at the end of the day - as you ski down, cut right before the bridge and you can traverse almost to the back of the hotel. We used Eduardo sport for ski hire and servicing. The staff were very helpful and informative. Colfosco is a great location to access the huge ski area. We did the orange Sellaronda route with Sara, the Inghams rep, and had a great day. We also arranged a trip to the Hidden Valley with Sara - she was very informative and a great guide and the valley is beautiful but it's a long morning for very little skiing - not sure I would recommend it. If you want après ski Colfosco is a bit quiet but if you are looking for great intermediate skiing with a friendly comfortable hotel then the location and the Mezdi are perfect but forget your diet until after your holiday :-)

Room Tip: Rooms at the front seem to be smaller but give great views. Take your own hair dryer as the hotel o...

This was exactly what we hoped. It is easy to ski from the hotel - just cross the road and ski 50m to the children's ski park or 100m to the lifts. Skiing back works very well too - we only had to walk up a 20m gentle slope to the road and hotel. This was excellent as members of our party came on and off the slopes during the day.
The hotel staff are all pleasant and helpful. Our waiter in particular looked after us very well.
The food was very good. Plenty of choice (healthy/ savoury/ sweet) for breakfast. Dinner was a minimum of 4 courses (more on two nights in the week) with plenty of options. All was of high quality and gave us a good taste of Tyrolean and Italian cuisine.
Our junior suite was well equipped (modern fittings, good quality wood furniture) and comfortable for our family of 4.
The pool is cleverly designed, with its different alcoves and water jets - it's not really for swimming, but was ideal for us for relaxing after a day on the slopes.
There's wifi only in the hall; in the new wing you can also connect to the internet via a data cable.
We were part of a larger party, all with different needs, and we all felt well looked after.
We'd love to go back.

Great hotel we stayed in room 102 which had a wrap around balcony situated on the 2nd floor. Super views down the road to village and across the road to the slopes. 30 yards walk to ski out and about 100 yards to come back. We skied back on the same side of the road as our hotel lift 46, run 45 turn right at bottom just before bridge, ski behind 1st hotel through their side car park to the front of the TIC. Great resort for most ranges of abilities. Some challenging blues. Ski hire next door but one to hotel.
No swim caps needed for pool. But a light robe is needed for pool and walking to the spa which is away from pool. (They will rent you a robe at €10). No free be moisturisers, shower cap in room. Wi fi in reception area only, each person has to have their own password. It is slow to log. (Ipad). Food excellent. Bed very comfortable and room quiet. Could hear a pump/fan occasionally in night possibly from pool below. Yes we would stay in same room again.

Very good location in the middle of the village. Ski school and access to lifts over the road. Nice, newly refurbished rooms. Good dining. Nice, helpful service. Access to Wifi was a weakness, slow and limited to reception area. Good sauna and wellness area.

We were in Mezdi last week for a trekking holiday. We loved everything about the hotel - location (near to two lifts, just 3 km to Corvara to another lifts), both easy and challenging walks within the reach. We used our car just ones and it was for us even more relax (at home we drive every day :-)) We stayed in one of the smallest rooms but it was well equipped with everything we needed, very clean with beautiful view.
The hotel has excellent wellness area (sauna, sanarium, Turkish bath, infrared, relaxing room, massages) - spacious, childern free (and so that very calm). Do not hesitate to try massages, miss Ambra is very skillful! Swimming pool - separated from wellness - is perfect for a little swim and relax as well.
Food was excellent, we appreciate mixture of mediteranean and tyrolean food. There is a wide choice for everyone. For breakfast they have everything for a walking day.
Staff is always smiling, prepared to help you. Waiters (young men) speak very good English and it is easy to ask for anything.
Wifi is accesible in public areas - it made us to relax from internet as well and we loved it :-)! We can recomend it to everyone.

Room Tip: Small double room is perfect for couples. On the 4th floor there is a perfect view. For sensitive pe...
