“Wonderful stay!”
Reviewed 7 October 2012

Loved the Beach House Inn! Its our favorite B&B in PEI... Brenda and Gary were so welcoming... the location is fabulous, like a postcard. The room was beautiful and clean. Great breakfast - so filling. We stayed in the St. Lawrence room and it was even nicer than it looked on the website! (which is great - be sure to check it out) They've really thought of everything. Common areas for the guests, books, videos, menus to local restaurants... this B&B is a great choice!

Down a lovely lane, right at the shore, sits the Beach House Inn! From our cottage we could see the bright green fields to the red cliffs and shores to the open sea. Absoutely breathtaking, and yet so intimate. The Innkeepers, Brenda and Gary, were delightful, serving up homemade 3-course breakfasts served in the lovely sunroom. The cottages are delightfully decorated with ensuite baths. The drive is easy, and takes you through charming French River and its artists and local fisheries. You also pass L.M Montgomery's birth home along the way. Lovely!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: the website is set up very well to allow you to see pics of the rooms and cottages. Brenda can also...

In any well planned trip, you always find a 'cherry on the cake'. This was it for my trip to PEI.
In the middle of nowhere, appeared this oasis of tranquility and comfort, surrounded by a blissful countryside that could have been the scene for a Renoir landscape painting.
The Inn dates back to the 1830, is fully renovated, has a warm lived-in feeling and is owned by Brenda, a truly hospitable lady and her very funny partner Gary who can tell a story a minute, all one funnier than the other.
The rooms were very clean, with flat screen satellite TV for those who need 'em. The bed was superbbbbbbbbbb. The shower was warm and strong.
The breakfast was to die for. Hot muffin, French Toast with fresh fruit or eggs and assortments. Truly a most pleasant beginning to a day in a beautiful bathed in sunlight.
I must say that, even though she will probably forget, I promised Brenda that I would return with family, since this was such a wonderful part of a truly great stay in PEI.
As it says in the song: ''Thanks for the memories''

This B and B has a very fitting name as it feels just like a beach house. It is a very beautiful 1800's home that has been renovated. The home is comfortable - don't expect everything to be pristinely perfect as it has a more lived in feeling. We stayed in the Dunes room which is up a separate narrow staircase over the kitchen. I assume it would have originally been the servant's quarters. The room had a warm comfy feeling. Beware the sloped floor - it took a little getting used to. We shared a balcony with our neighbors. I recommend getting up in the night to view the amazing stars that are visible. Breakfasts were served at separate tables and were very good. Not too large but muffins and cereal available if you need more. We enjoyed following the beach to the rocks and climbed on them forever. Very remote but that is what we enjoy.

Room Tip: Dunes room is great. Windows on either side allow air to flow through.

Spent six nights, with sunrise view of ocean, terrific breakfasts, hospitable innkeepers, bright and clean room and inn. Peaceful and relaxing location out of the way of main tourist areas, but within an easy drive to national park beaches, kayaking, biking, oysters, lobster suppers and plenty of local music. Will surely return.

Room Tip: Upstairs Dunes Room in main house offers a deck with ocean and sunrise views.

We were in the Seaview cottage, a small but comfortable unit off to the side behind the main inn. The breakfasts were delicious with a peaceful view. Inn is thankfully off the beaten path but only 20 minutes away from North shore sites. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away with a choice of ocean facing or bay side beaches. Very calm with plenty of room for a private beach feeling. Towels and chairs are available, as well as books and a telescope. Forget about using the free bicycles provided however, they are in need of repair. Mid to late August is best time of year for warmer water.

Room Tip: For a couple who wants privacy the Seaview Room which is actually a separate unit. For family of 4...

We spent a few days in September. What a lovely place it is. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. The rooms in the main house are lovely with beautiful views. The location is perfect, close to the ocean with even an ancient graveyard within walking distance. Brenda takes pride in what she cooks for breakfast, which is served by her partner. They make a perfect team. We felt right at home.
We were very happy to have found this lovely place. Our traveling companions felt the same way as well.

Room Tip: We stayed in the king room in the main house. Great view of the lighthouse and a private porch. Our...
