We stayed at the Colina da Faja for 4 nights. The room was very spacious, with a modern bathroom which was lovely. It had stunning views from the terrace. The hotel is away from the busier parts of Madeira and right on one of the main levados. A really quiet spot - the only disturbance was a cockerel from the house further below and even that seemed to rise late! As other reviewers have said, the track down to the hotel is steep - but we found it easily driveable with care. This is really a B and B as it does not do evening meals. You do need a car to get to the nearest restaurants (although you are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare meals if you would prefer). We liked Chicos - a really typical local restaurant serving good home cookling, in Prazeres. Overall, we found it extemely relaxing and welcoming and would definitely return
