“Very nice resort”

Bear Mountain Golf Resort - Valley Course
Ranked #4 of 14 things to do in Langford
More attraction details
Attraction details
Owner description: The Valley course meanders through forest, borders lakes, and traverses creeks and rivers throughout its 18 holes, while offering spectacular views of Vancouver Island's beautiful landscape. In contrast to the existing Mountain course, the par 71 Valley course measures 6807 yards from the Golden Bear tees - around 400 yards shorter than its sibling. Factor in elevated tee boxes, more generous fairway widths, fewer bunkers and larger greens and the Valley course will likely be considered a 'friendlier' version of the original. Rolling through terrain at elevations of between 300 and 500 feet above sea level, there is still plenty of challenge, and many holes that could be considered the signature hole.

“Very nice resort”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

If you have a rental car and your looking for a resort like experience instead of staying downtown Victoria.....this is the place. Great golf....good people....nice views and nice restaurants. I have no complaints after being there for 2 nights in mid July 2014. Typical bedding for Westin and even though the place was completely booked, it did not feel crowded. Loved it and would return without hesitation.

“Fun course except for the greens!”
Reviewed 2 July 2014 via mobile

Challenging greens make for a frustrating round of golf. Reaching the greens in regulation was achievable but the undulating greens with difficult pin placements made for lots of 3 putts during the round. Other than the greens and the porta potty that served as toilettes the course was amazing to play. The course has many tee boxes to chose from so play the tee box that suits your handicap and you will have good time playing.

“Stunning Course and Great Layout”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

We absolutely loved our round here! We came at twilight so the rate was only $79. It was a bit chaotic since there was a major conference at the Westin, but once we got on the course, it was fantastic. Very scenic course with challenging holes. We'd definitely love to play here again and try the mountain course too.
