We never tire of visiting this magnificent cathedral in Nottinghamshire
It is one of the undiscovered gems of England
To enter its Norman doors and look around at the beautiful architecture is the most wonderous thing
The Green Man Chapel is unique and one of the wonders of English architecture
The staff are unfailing polite, knowledgeable and helpful

I visited here July 2014. It has recently had a major refurbishment. The inside and outside seating areas are lovely. The staff were friendly and efficient . The chef is new and the food was of a very high quality , with a good choice to suit all tastes. I recommend this venue.

This was a surprise. Our only encounters with Southwell in the past were to attend their splendid racecourse but this time we did the town. The Cathedral is the central attraction and is amazing for a community of this size. Well worth a visit to savour the majesty of the place and its surrounding buildings. Staff are also terrific.

This a beautiful large church with original Norman Architecture and great features from lots of periods, including great modern sculpture. The audio tour has been revised and really good (£5). Staff really helpful and knowledgeable and lots of them. Organ concerts frequent and superb. The 700 year old Chapter House with its wonderful carvings are worth the trip alone.
