This place is heaven on earth. The owner and Staff go out of their way to make sure that your stay is enjoyable. The sounds of the loons and the peace and quiet out on the lake is what we enjoy. This is one place that I cannot get enough of. Hopefully we can go this year.

I absolutely love going to Tumblehome Lodge. The housekeeping cabins are very well equipped with the basics such as kitchen utensils etc. You do need to bring your own bedding, towels and usables like dish soap etc. We have been here many times, our cabin this time was very large, and was more than comfortable for a family of six. The lake is awesome, Ward and Ashley (owner and daugher) are very accomodating and look after everyone. There is a store on site open daily from 8-5 where you can get anything that you need and also for convenience charge to your unit to pay at the end of your stay. Coming to this resort you really feel like a part of a large family. It is a really authentic cottage experience without having to own one yourself!! Lots of slips to dock your boat or boats to rent if you don't have one. The lake is full of island where you can boat out to for a shore lunch and to spend the day. There is lot of fisherman and lots of fish! Can't wait for next year. Only downfalls is that is would be nice if there was a restaurant, there is absolutely no cell signal, no wireless internet and no televisions in the cottages.

my husband and I have been going there for 16 years now and this is the only place to go as far as accomitdations, as far as fishing, as far as the friends that you see year to year. .there is no place like this.. we were up this year for 2weeks and it rained and was so cold.. but we had the best time fishing in the rain , getting wet 3 times in 1 day..people say why go 8 hours away year to year well we just love it and hopefully continue until we can't make the trip. Ward and the staff can not do enough to make your stay great. and thats why tumblehome lodge is home to us.. thank you

I've been coming up to Tumblehome Lodge on Crotch Lake, ON every summer for the past 20 years. It is a deluxe cottage resort for it's area. Their website does in fact tell you to bring your linens as well as your housekeeping supplies, and when you call to make your reservations they will tell you as well. The owner is accommodating and will try to fix any problems you may encounter, and overall the service level is great! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good fishing vacation, or relaxing family vacation.

  • Liked — The family run resort, and friendly service.
  • Disliked — No air-conditioning and no pets.

We went to Canada for a wedding and the brides' parents booked us a cabin here as it was close to the site. For the price, we thought they should have supplied the sheets and towels but ok, we brought them. When we arrived, they were banging shingles on our roof while many other cabins were empty. WE got the cabin with no cold water faucet in one of the bathrooms. The site tells you to bring linens but it doesnt' tell you that there is no soap, hot mits for the oven, kitchen towels, dishwashing liquid etc, so we were unprepared and couldnt' get these items until the next day/too late. Also no shampoo so showers were delayed. They are in the woods far from any stores and the office is closed at 4pm so we couldnt' get a key for another cabin or buy any of these necessary items. They had old shabby bedspreads and dead pillows and no extra blankets! I don't recommend it unless you like camping.

  • Liked — cant' think of anything
  • Disliked — not comfortable
