Serving very good food in a nice setting but spoiled by a selfimportant owner.
Although we came to eat there several times and we talked with him several times for more than a few sentences, the owner did not even say hello to us when he passed by our table *every single time*. When approached he acted pompous, talking of other restaurants as not in his league. He always, without exception walked in shorts and t-shirt although he wanted to give his restaurant higher-class look.
The prices are maybe 10% to 15% higher than average for Croatia.
If you do not specially ask for it you will not get a proper bill (meaning he will not pay taxes for it).
On one occasion a group of foreign tourists were served date-shells, an endangered and law-protected shell species. It is forbidden to collect, sell, buy, export, import and transit these shells in Croatia. In the process of collecting these shells the shore rocks have to be broken what devastates the same shore that restaurant owner has to be grateful for having guests. Money before everything.
Another thing about this restaurant stands out: there are two restaurants in Skrivena Luka cove, both are on the shore, both have pontoons for yachts and sailboats, but the pontoon of "Porat 1" is mostly empty (really, none or single ship for a few days in a row) and the other one is always full (not exaggerating). Since the food is at least equally good in both restaurants (tried it) the question is - why?
