The Rhodes mitsis village hotel is a lovely hotel with 4 swimming pools. The mini club (kids club) is great ad the staff are lovely. Also the entertainment at the anti theatre was great, my favoured the comendy night. I would definitely return to this hotel I wol rate in 4 1/2 star

Just arrived home after a last minute holiday to this hotel. Entertainment staff, especially Rio (aka King Julian, Madagasca) Kate and the rest of the animation crew were fantastic. If you disagree RED CARD "in the pool". Hotel obviously 5 star when new but over the years maintenance has wained, now a good 3 star possibly 4 star. Pools good, rooms very clean although a bit dated, service excellent. Restaurant menu limited but always salad and fish or meat so you could find something to satisfy hunger, snacks available at various bars from 10am until after midnight. We had a good holiday just what we were looking for and would definately return. If you can get this hotel for the right price you won't be disapointed.

Room Tip: We had room overlooking main pool was nice, next door had a much bigger blaconly though.

Just returned from a fantastic weeks Holiday at the Rhodos Village.
The Hotel was spotless and the rooms were cleaned on a day to day basis the only issue we had was the bed being a little hard and the food was slightly repetative.
The staff were very friendly and help full.
The Holiday was made made even better by the staff of the Animations team who made the holiday well worth wild they were amazing.

Recently returned from a fantastic 2 week holiday at the Rhodos village. At first a little disapointing if you are expecting a five star hotel. The rooms are very basic, Firstly we were offered a room that when we stepped out onto the balcony our view was a brick wall. As we were staying for two weeks I asked to be moved. I was told a sea view would cost us a further 15 Euro per night but we got a room overlooking the indoor pool and the Rock Cafe bar which could be a bit noisy at times but the music went off at 12 midnight every night and as a couple we were rarely in bed before that time so it was not a problem to us. Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful (with the exception of one receptionis who came over as very rude and the man who fried the eggs and omelettes who would tell you off for putting too much in your dish when choosing your ingrediance for your omelette. The entertainment staff worked realy hard. however we chose to use the upper pool(near the Italian resteraunt) which was quieter where the lovely Lenka would do water aerobics in the morning and you could play poker in the afternoons if you wished, but nothing too pushy if you wished just to relax by the pool. In the main resteraunt there was plenty of choice and most times you could find something you liked. We found lunch times the best food though. You needed to pick your times to go innto the main resteraunt as it could be like a cattle market at peak times. We ate at the italian resteraunt 4 times during our stay whch the food and service was excellent evey time. You need to book the day before and it was nice to sit and be waited on away from the hussle and bussle of the main resteraunt. At the sister hotel the Maris across the road ther were three other speciality restaurants, a Greek resteraunt, a Chinese and a Taverna. We had understood from past reviews that you could use the facilities at both hotels including the resteraunts but we were told by reception that we could use thier resteraunts but at an extra charge, however we eventually sussed that as there was a bridge from our hotel giving access to the Maris and all thier guests were wearing the same colour wrist bands. Our newly made friends went across and a made reservations at the Maris reception at no extra cost. Unfortunately we only managed one meal at the Greek resteraunt and missed opportunities to go to the chinese and the Taverna. Overall yes the hotel could do with a facelift but it was kept very clean and the service was overall good. We met fantastic people who we hope will be friends for life. We recomend that you get a car we had a car for two days. We shared with two other couples. Rhodes is a beautiful Island and needs to be explored. We also took a trip to Rhodes Town and the beautiful Island of Symi. I would recommend this hotel and would return but it is not Five star so don,t go with with that expectation.

Myself and four girlfriends spent a week here recently and cant complain one bit. The staff are welcoming, friendly and made sure our stay was so pleasant. The rooms are kept spotless, the cleaner for our block worked so bloody hard and was lovely lady. Yes, the TV's, air con and radios aren't the most modern, but hey they're fine!
Food was always plentiful and lots of choice, absolutely delicious.
All five of us had a fabulous time, visited Rhodes Town and Lindos inbetween chilling by the pool (quiet one!) and the beach. Would definately go back again.

Me and my sister travelled to the Mitsis Rhodos Village in May this year and before visiting this hotel had always said we would not return to the same hotel twice. That has all changed after visiting the Mitisis Rhodos Village, simply because the animations team and staff there are amazing! I filled in a review after our visit in May which can be found on my profile but we had such a fantastic time there I thought it only fair to ensure I wrote about how fantastic the place is after our second visit.

I'll start with the animations, they simply are the best I have ever experienced! They work so hard to ensure everyone is kept involved in all the activitys they simply are a credit to the hotel. On our second visit there was Bebe, Vladi, Rio, Willy, Alesya, Lenka and Kate who were working the animations programme and I have never met a friendlier, fun and hard working bunch as I did with them. The work long hours and despite this manage to constantly be so friendly, polite and patient with not only the adults but the children also (that could test the patience of a saint!) As we were always on the beach we mainly came in contact with Bebe, Vladi and Alesya for the daytime activitys, which were french bowls in the morning and afternoon (which you may think sounds boring but I couldnt help but enjoy as whoever had you playing it ensured you had fun whilst playing), Aqua gym in the sea in the morning, Vollyball in the morning and afternoon and also football in the afternoon. All activitys were energetic, interesting and best of all fun to take part in. There are also activitys that take place outside the snack bar by the pool that include darts, quizzes etc which we unfortunately missed out on but from talking with people who had taken part they sounded just as good as the ones we did.

The evening animations kicked off at the ampitheatre at 9.00 for the childrens mini disco where alesya, lenka and kate would be dressed up entertaining the kids with dances to classic dance songs such as superman. They dress up in clown suits which wasnt great for my sister who suffers hugely from a fear of them but this adds to the fun for all the kids. Following the mini-disco Rio would have some of the children sing, in all different languages which is brilliant to watch too. The shows throughout the week consist of a greek night, crazy caberet, hit parade, music quiz, kareoke and finally miss election and playboy show! All of which were fab in there own way and kept us laughing each night! Finally depending when the show finished most nights there was a adult disco until 12am which consisted of all different musics from different langages but dispite the language being one you sometimes do not understand they are catchy and something we would find easy to dance to.

All in all, i really cannot speak highly enough of each and every person on the animations team, you can see they love there jobs and put an amazing amount of effort into making each person feel welcome and enjoy the time they spend int he hotel. They are an absolute credit to the hotel each one of them.

I would also like to make a special mention for again Altin, Erik and Roxanne from the main bar, they all are such friendly and hard working people and had the pleasure to have an after hours drink with them and also Dimitris from the bar next to the indoor pool on our first evening. They always would keep the bar as queue free as possible by working quickly to service you with good quality alchols and lovely cocktails too. Also you will always be made to feel welcome here too. Again they are a credit to the hotel!

On this visit we remembered to make a visit to the pizzeria which again just adds that extra bit of brilliance. The food quality is brillaint and the service we experenced was second to none, being very fast efficient and again they were all very friendly staff here. We went at lunchtime and the restraunt was not very busy at all. Usually you are able to easily book in for the following day at the latest.

The room we were given on this trip was one of the bugalow rooms 486 which is behind the snack bar an near to the utility door to the resturant which could therefore have the odd time where it was a little noisy around 11-12pm but this should not usually effect many people on the basis most would be awake at this time anyway. Again the room had everything it needed and this time we even had a large sofa and terrace to sit out on. Our fridge was restocked nearly everyday on this visit which was brilliant as the weather was so hot it was nice to have a drink whist getting ready for the evening.

For the food again was top notch, always hot and tasty with many varietys (please read May review for more information on the hotel facilitys please read my May review)

One improvement would be the WIFI facilities within the lobby area, the signal drops very often however I can imagine this is due to the volume of people using this facility however, did become extremely frustrating when trying to phone home using SKYPE.

All in all the second visit to this hotel has suppassed the first despite it being much busier than the first time we visited. As I have said before and will say again the animations team and staff do really make this hotel one to remember and one that we plan again to return to for a third visit in the summer next year. We had an incredible 7 days!

When we arrived at the hotel, we were allocated a room in the main hotel complex. I can't quite remember the room number, but it was on the first floor. As soon as we got near the room we could smell something that wasn't nice at all. When we got into our room, it was dark and dingy and we weren't pleased to say the least. It seemed that our travel agent had booked us the worst room in the hotel!

When we opened the balcony the view was.. well, disappointing to say the least! We got a view of a wall and the stench of the restaurant kitchen. Not nice at all! Later on we found bettles, red ants and a lizard. When we asked the reception if we could change our room we were told the hotel was totally booked up and there was no way of moving us till Wednesday. We saw that our rep was going to be there later so we went and talked to him and he sorted out for us to get a new room on the Wednesday.

As I have dragged on about the negative start, when we were allocated our new (upgraded) room, we had an amazing time. The lower pool seems as though it is more for kids and activities and the rooftop pool (next to the italian restaurant) was more for adults and relaxation.

Food - 5/5 - It was amazing and there were always different things to eat. They always cooked meat and fish in front of you and pancakes and pasta.

Room - 4/5 - Once upgraded it was great although we did have ants coming out of the plughole!

Service - 3/5 - The waiters were sometimes rude and the cleaner certainly was. The pancake and pasta ladies, reception staff and the service managers were very nice though.

Overall I would totally go on this holiday again, the transfer is quite long and I would see how much the sister hotel is (looks nicer) but if you're looking for a good family or couples holiday with a lot of sun and a beach close by, then this hotel is great!

Room Tip: Try not to get a room in the main hotel complex, try to get a bungalow if you can.
