“Lovely hotel”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

We had not planned to stay here but due to the Mitsis Rhodos Village Hotel messing us about (overbooking so they were going to move us elsewhere etc.) we ended up staying here. What a lovely modern, clean hotel with friendly staff. Room was smashing with a huge balcony overlooking the vast pool area. The only slight criticisms was that the food was not the best quality and the same choice every day at every food outlet, there were not enough loungers around the pool so we felt like a couple of wally's wandering around with our towels trying to find somewhere to sit, it was also a little slippery around the pool with wet feet which was a bit daft! To be honest I didn't really like Rhodes as an island that much and wouldn’t return but if you are visiting then this is a lovely hotel and highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here for ten days from the 21st May. It was a belated honeymoon and we are both very pleased we chose this resort. We arrived to find we had a bottle of champagne, fruit basket and pastries waiting for us - this was a very thoughtful, and much appreciated touch.

We could not fault the staff, the rooms, hotel and grounds were spotless and well kept - the staff were out cleaning / mopping the pool area very early in the morning on a daily basis, and the waiting staff were extremely attentive throughout breakfast, lunch and dinner. We cannot complain about the food, there was a lot of choice and it was always cooked fresh and both the plates and food were always hot. We both liked to sit outside when we were eating, and the only negative I can think of is the smoking - there is not an area for non-smokers, and as a non-smoker the smoke was not a nice accompaniment to my food. How ever, that could just be me, it did not bother my husband as much.

Unfortunately due to me being fussy when it comes to wine and alcohol I did not drink much at all from the all inclusive bar, we found that we went up to the al a carte bar and paid €7 for the cocktails - there is a wider selection of drinks here. This is a lovely bar and restaurant, and we both felt that it could be advertised more, as we were unsure to begin with as to whether we could go up there for just a drink. The bar man was very friendly and made very tasty cocktails and was able to recommend a wine I would like - one very similar to a NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Again we could not criticise the services we received. We feel they could use it more to their advantage by having it as an adult only bar where people pay a realistic price for drinks, (We felt €7 wasn't too expensive for a hotel cocktail, considering we pay between £5-6 at our local bar) which they cannot purchase downstairs. We think it would make sense to utilise the outside seating area and make the most of the views. Saying this, my husband was more than impressed with the all inclusive drinks selection and was partial to the odd Black Russian cocktail and lager on more than one occasion :)

Both the pool and beach are very nice, we spent most of our time down at the beach, the water is lovely and clear. When we did use the pool, it was never overly loud or over crowded, and the water was only cold initially, once you're in it's fine.

We would gladly return to this hotel and have recommended it to both friends and family.

Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

We had a late flight that was delayed and got to the hotel in the early hours, all checked in ok with no hassle. We found the hotel to be very clean and of a high standard. The rooms were really good with a huge bed, cleaned very well every day. All staff were a credit and very polite and helpful. The food wasn't very varied but quite ok. We eat in the restaurant one evening & this was ok but not special. Sadly my wife contracted food poisoning one evening and was confined to the room for 2 days, which clearly was disappointing, but could of been picked up from anywhere in the hotel.

The beach was ok but not great & the swimming was ok - but shelved down very quickly and quite dangerous with a strong current - wouldn't recommend I for inexperienced swimmers, however the pools on the resort were good, clean and not busy. Beware of sun bathing fanatics who swoop early to 'claim' their sun beds around the pool, leave possessions on the beds and then disappear for food.

Main restaurant got quite busy at times, & the buffet style, is sometimes a bit like school dinners, especially for the 'plate fillers' who re fill numerous times.

If one likes to do noting but lounge around a pool, eat and drink as much as possible then this is a great holiday. The island doesn't really offer much other than that. Quad bike hire is a hoot.

Probably won't return. I will say that if the complex is maintained then this will be a real money spinner for the island and local employment.

We recently got back from Princess Andrianna, it was amazing! everything was perfect, the staff were incredible and so helpful, and the hotel was immaculately clean. We went for 2 weeks and could have easily not spent a penny! The only thing we spent money on was a trip to the water park which was definitely worth a visit.

The food was great, loads to choose from in the main restaurant and such a high standard of food .. no greasy and fatty foods, all cooked perfectly! We also went up to the Moonlight restaurant twice which was incredible!

The staff were so incredibly helpful, nothing we asked was too much .. there wasn't one member of staff that didn't greet us, even the cleaners were so friendly and welcoming!

We loved the evening entertainment, we are both very early 20's and found the shows very funny with adult humour too, and then headed over to the pool bar too which was such a great atmosphere always.

Thanks once again for such a fab holiday and we look forward to seeing you again!

Room Tip: Room with private pool - it was amazing!!

fantastic, very special. all the staff are professional, give great service and are very friendly. plenty of sports choices. lovely relaxation choices in the spa. the two italian lads doing the beach volleyball, beach darts and pool ball are really enthusiastic. all the alcoholic drinks and cocktails are top quality. the bar staff are very professional. more food than you could ever try, something for everyone. chefs professional. the rooms are spotlessly clean and the bed was huge, gorgeous pillows too. the beach is spotless. everything is cleaned straight away. nice friendly watersports team. jet skis etc. we went for a hindu wedding. the owner herself was there all day to ensure each stage of the proceedings went perfectly. if you want a special holiday without roudy guests this is the place. perfection.

Saw this hotel last year, decided to try and book it which we did for two weeks for my sister's anniversary. The staff and the head of the buffet restaurant were absolutely excellent, they could not do enough for us. Could not say the same about the al a carte restaurant - the staff there need to be more friendly, perhaps they could work in the buffet restaurant and see how the staff there perform with lovely friendly smiley faces. Animation team were excellent, love the crazy darts! Pool area very good but too deep for me as a non swimmer. Room facing the sea was very good but do opt for higher level as you do hear the staff arriving for work in the early hours,

Room Tip: Choose higher floor if staying in sea view room.

Recently returned from a week at the Princess Andriana. It was my first holiday to Greece and mine and my boyfriends first holiday together. On arrival, it was clear that we had got the best hotel from all the previous drop off's during the transfer. The hotel was simply stunning. We arrived late at night and there were 4 other couples also checking in. Unfortunately, the check in was a lengthy process due to them only having one gentleman on the front desk. By the time we finally got checked in, it was 1.30am and time for bed! The room was beautiful. My boyfriend had turned 30 the week before so I had asked the hotel via email if they could organise a small surprise in the room for him. When we arrived, there was a lovely little birthday cake and a chilled bottle of sparkling wine and two champagne flutes. I was very pleased with this!
The room was beautiful, a huge queen size bed and immaculately clean. The balcony was massive with a table, two chairs and even a sun lounger! The food at the hotel is very good. Lots of fresh salads, meats, fish, potatoes etc. It did get a bit repetitive towards the end of the holiday (but to be expected with buffet) but we ate out in Rhodes & Lindos a couple of days to break it up. We hired a quad bike from a local place up the road from the hotel. Great way of exploring the island and getting a tan! The swimming pool was beautiful and the grounds amazingly clean. Enjoyed the crazy golf and the table tennis, The indoor pool/ sauna / steam room etc were very good (although the Jacuzzi could have been a bit more bubbly!). My boyfriend used the gym which he said was very good. I had a massage at the spa which was nice (although there was a mix up with what I had booked but hey ho). There is a dress code for the evening meal (no shorts, flip flops for men). On our last evening we were not leaving til 7.30pm so we were all packed up and ready to leave but had time for dinner. Because it was still hot, my boyfriend and another couple we had made friends with were dressed 'smartly' but in smart shorts. We were turned away from the restaurant due to this. We found this disappointing as we were due to depart shortly afterwards. We could have just sat outside out the way. However, the boys had to go back to the 'luggage room' and change into jeans.
One thing I didn't like was that one evening before we went down for dinner, I drew our curtains ready for when we got back. After dinner (approximately 9pm) we came back to the room to get some warmer clothes (beware in May the evenings are cold!). When we returned, our curtains had been opened and things had been moved about in our room. Slightly concerned that someone had been in during the evening (bit late for housekeeping and we had a do not disturb sign on our door), my boyfriend went down to reception to find out what had happened. The lady on the front desk said she would speak to the manager. The next day, after not hearing anything, we went back down to reception. The lady told us that she had checked the 'key card activity' and that no one had been in the room until we returned late that night. Clearly this was incorrect as we went back at 9pm to get jackets and then straight down to reception to report it. Nothing was taken thankfully but I still found it slightly worrying that someone had been in and moved our belongings. Beware that the All Inclusive Bars close at midnight, after that you have to pay for your drinks! There were some nice touches at the hotel, ie having the fridge re-stocked free of charge every three days, ham & cheese rolls waiting for us after our late check in etc. There is an a la carte restaurant (Moonlight) that you can attend one evening during your stay, but book a few days in advance as they book up very quickly. The 4 course meal there was lovely and the staff very attentive. Overall, we had a fabulous holiday. The weather was a little hit and miss for the first couple of days, ie cloudy and drizzle one evening but after that the sun shone and it was lovely. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Kiotari and this hotel. I see why it is 5* as it really is stunning. The staff were all very pleasant and we made friends with another couple on the first night who we will stay in touch with. A trip to Rhodes and Lindos are a must for a couple of good days out.
I would definitely stay at the Princess Andriana again but will probably visit another Greek Island next, just for a change.

Room Tip: Highly recommend the rooms with a pool view. Stunning of an evening and you can see the fountain dis...
