We thought we knew what Villa we were going to be staying in but when we arrived we were directed to a different Villa whose photos were not on this site. Very modern and open with everything we needed and a lovely view from every window.
Me and my family are used to all inclusive resorts so this was a change for us. Once you add up the cost of the Villa plus food and drink you are MUCH better off sticking with all inclusive. I was shocked how expensive everything was.
We ate out every night at the nearby restaurants and everything was pretty hit and miss. The sea food restaurants were disappointing and could probably cook better Mediterranean food at home. We ended up eating mostly at the Gre Café just down the road from the Villa who did a variety of food to suit everyone.
One of the restaurants we wanted to try so we drove down there, parked up, took a seat and had a look at the menu which was not appetizing at all. Even had rabbit on the menu which I have tried before and is nice but not when they are kept in the hutches just outside the place! Gave that a swerve.
We had a lovely day trip to walk up the Acropolis which was an experience and worth it just for the views
All in all, a beautiful place with stunning views but I think I'm going to stick with what I know! Way too expensive for what it was
This is a top quality villa. We had Villa E which is possibly the best one. Great views, well laid out, handy for a low-key beach and safe swimming. All facilities available, everything you could need. Well cleaned and pool well maintained. Owners very friendly and affable.
Helpfully allowed us a late departure for an awkwardly timed Thomson fight. Shame they are tied to Thomson, would be better to book direct and avoid the 'package-cattle' feel that Thomsons provide!
Lovely location away from the hordes of drunk, lobster coloured English tourists.
beautiful villa we stayed in villa 4 which was a bit tricky to find the pool was amazing and was cleaned almost daily. the furnishings were very modern which i prefer.its very quiet which is great for a peaceful holiday. the owner came a couple of times to check we were happy. The only downside was we arrived late at night and there was no welcome pack .which i have never experienced in a villa holiday before it doesnt cost much to have milk bread ham and coffee or tea available. but that is a small citisism which could easily be remedied.overall wonderful.
The villa was excellent. Great location, quiet but still close enough to shops and sea. Very clean and with a great private pool. The gardens were well maintained and it's definitely recommended. Will love to return.
Just returned from a fantastic fortnight in Rhodes, the villa was superb (villa D) the villa & pool were spotless, absolutely everything you require for the perfect relaxing holiday & because we had a night flight Despina allowed us to stay longer than necessary to accommodate our timings, highly recommended, fabulous.
Just arrived home after spending 2 weeks in villa C with my wife and two children aged 9 & 5. Have now read the previous review from the people who must have been in the villa the week before us and this does save us some time as we agree with everything written!
We had a wonderful two weeks, and would thoroughly recommend these villas. We watched villa E being finished, lovely new build, two bedrooms instead of three in the others and set in a lovely spacious plot.
A big thank you to Ian and Despina for ensuring we had a wonderful time, nothing seemed too much trouble.
We would thoroughly recommend Gonos Villas.

I am currently sitting under the pergola of apartment C looking out across the pool and onto the blue Mediterranean, and I really don't want to go home.
The apartment offers everything you could want, spacious bedrooms, nice bathrooms, open plan kitchen/lounge and utility room. It also has free wifi, air conditioning, huge windows with heavy duty electric shutters, a safe, and a TV. The pool is well maintained and a decent size, 1.4m deep all over. The surrounding area is nicely presented, with exotic shrubs and fresh mint. A barbecue is also available. It has enough sun loungers to support a small army, and there is a sheltered area with table and chairs for those who have burnt themselves to within an inch of their lives.
A 5 minute walk down the dirt path takes you to the quiet sea front, where you will find locals sitting on their porches watching the world go by or in the sea talking. Such a relaxed way of life. There is also 3 restaurants in a row with a basic shop in between. Stefano's grill offers the best food, but the other 2 are good, especially if you love sea food as it is some of the best I've encountered. There's also other restaurants walking distance in either direction, The staff are the most friendly you could wish for (and all speak English, phew!)
A 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive south takes you to a super market and butchers. A 5 minute drive north brings you to Kiotari village,
which has shops, bars, restaurants and lovely beach. Lindos is 20 minutes away, Rhodes an hour. Both worth a visit. Driving here is easy and there's literally just one main road around the island which winds and bends around the craggy rock mountains, spectacular.
My only complaint; we only came for a week and not 2. Will have to come back soon.
