“Wonderful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

Wonderful holidays in the fantastic location of the Bali. The two brothers Yiorgos and Antoni that own this hotel are very friendly and welcoming. All the staff were very friendly, very helpful, smiling all the time. Our room and the balcony had stunning views to the bay and to mountains as well as from the pool on the roof and from the terrace and the reception. The room and the hotel were incredibly clean..An excellent breakfast consists of cereals, greek yoghurt, honey, eggs, meats, cheese and the best bread from the local bakery. We enjoyed refreshments or relaxation at any point of the day. In Bali there are good restaurants and tavernas Karavostasi, Psaropoulos, Synolakis and the local taverna Maria at Exantis over the hill near Melidoni cave. Beaches and swimming locations are reachable on foot from the hotel, which is up on the coast. This hotel comes highly recommended and we will certainly be back sometimes.Bali is a nice, quiet place to stay.

Room Tip: Room 209 - view to the bay and mountains

I booked this hotel after seeing the reviews on Trip Adviser and I certainly wasn't disappointed! I'd been to Bali before and noticed the fantastic location of the Bali Blue Bay and always thought it would be great to spend a week there so when my wife and I decided to go back to Bali this year I just had to find out about availability and rates. I was delighted at the price for a week in early May - 300 Euros for a double room including breakfast for my wife and I - and even more delighted when we arrived. The hotel is extremely clean throughout with a light and airy feel to it. The two brothers who own the hotel are very friendly, helpful and approachable and can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable. They are as different as chalk and cheese but compliment each other wonderfully! The rooms are spotless and all have a sea view and breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide range of goodies on offer to suit all tastes. It's clear they are very proud of their hotel and so they should be - it's a superb place to take a holiday!

The two brothers that own this hotel are like chalk and cheese! They are each friendly and welcoming [see photo's].
We were very happy with our room and the balcony had stunning views to both the East and West. The room was incredibly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Yiorgos prepares an excellent breakfast consisting of cereals, greek yoghurt with honey, cooked eggs, cold meats and cheese and the best bread we have had on the island. Antoni runs the bar and dreams of fishing! This hotel comes highly recommended and we will certainly be back next year. A trip to Rethimno [40 mins by car] is well worth the effort as the old town is remarkable.

Room Tip: 301 has great views

We stayed only one night at Bali Blue Bay Hotel, our room's decoration was very simple, but the window had been giving onto the sea, so the view was magnificient. The room was very spasious. A little minus, that there were no shower gel and shampoo, only a little soap, so we had to buy all in the nearest shop.
Note that the hotel is situated a little bit far from the bus station, around 25min by walk.
The breakfast was ok, not poor not rich.
In whole, we liked our stay in this hotel, that, in in my opinion, has a good quality/price ratio.

My wife and I have just spent a week at The Blue Bay Hotel and cannot find any fault with it.
From the moment we arrived the greeting was warm and friendly from Antonio, one of two brothers who run the hotel. Our room, spotlessly clean and comfortable, had a fantastic view over the bay on one side and the harbour on the other side. The room sizes are very good with plenty of storage. Air conditioning and a small fridge were welcome additions. The small balcony was a great place to relax after a day in the sun or late into the evening. Breakfast offered a continental style and there was always a hot option - even bacon and eggs. Freshly baked varieties of bread and a constant supply of hot coffee or speciality teas were always available. The addition of freshly squeezed orange juice would have been a better offer than orange squash as the area is renowned for its oranges.
Georgiu the other brother welcomed us every morning at breakfast with a pleasant smile and a warm greeting.
The bed linen and towels were changed every couple of days and we returned each day to a warm shower in a good sized bathroom with a hair dryer.
The hotel had an international clientele and was always quiet at night.
Only one night was disturbed by a 'one-off' beach party that I was assured was an exception. Bali itself is so picturesque and at night has a quiet calm air about it. None of the bars or restaurants play loud music so it was perfect for a pleasant meal in a tavern and a quiet drink afterwards.
We highly recommend the hotel and the resort if you are looking for a relaxing holiday in Crete.

Marvellous view. The owners of the hotel, two brothers, are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are big, have a balcony and are very clean. On the roof there is a swimming pool where you have sun the whole day long! Breakfast is perfect, variated and every day a surprise. Bali is a nice, quiet place to stay. With the bus you can easy visit other cities, but even around Bali there is the possibility to do different walks. In Bali there are good restaurants.
