Just coming back from a week's break at Costa Paradise Taurito. We went with some reservations having read some of the reviews and were positively surprised by the resort. We had a wonderfully relaxing week, helped by warm sunny weather, and enjoyed all the features of the hotel, especially the all inclusive aspect. We always found food to our liking, although we are both fussy health food eaters. The resort and hotel was definitely growing on me during the week. Having passed through some other resorts, during the night transfer from the airport, where - how to put it best "Hollywood meets Las Vegas"? - we definitely think Taurito was a great choice, although when arriving at 10pm at night I had a bit of a shock when I first saw the monstrous hotel buildings all lit up, looking like huge cruise liners in harbour. In the sunshine they disappeared much more to the background, and it was easy to forget about them. Every square inch seems to have been used up for apartment blocks. Not sure how the people on the hilltop ever make it to the beach. We were always more than happy to come back to our cosy and laid back 3-storey hotel situated a bit away from the water park. The water park itself is a well kept feature and looks good. You can swim large laps in sea water and see the valley from a different angle. Due to the sheltered location the whole valley is pretty much protected from the wind, the resort is smallish by comparison but has got everything you may need. Everything was within walking distance, beach to hotel took 10 minutes maximum. The bus to Puerto Mogan leaves every 20 minutes, 10 minutes journey time and you are there (not recommended if you suffer from vertigo). Supermarkets there are much cheaper for shopping.

What would I change? I found the volume of the outdoor night entertainment a little much (think of the echo in the valley) but it always stopped at 10.30ish. Parasols on the balconies would be a great addition, and better quality coffee a plus. Towels cost 1 Euro a day to hire which is really not much. I don't understand why people make such a fuss about it. We did not use the wifi so that was no problem either. In fact the week we were there was a welcome break from the internet. Rooms were clean and spacious. Yes, you can hear your neighbours but we have always found that wherever we were on holiday. All in all I came back bronzed, relaxed and definitely very happy with our choice of hotels. I really enjoyed the relaxed and quiet atmosphere in the hotel and the whole valley, especially at meal times. Afterwards everybody moved on to the pool area or to the beach. I must say though that the pool area would be much more peaceful without the music. The proximity of the main coastal road can be a problem over the weekend as all local bikers seem to go for joy rides (again think echo in the valley). Most age groups were present at the hotel (apart from children of course). Staff at reception had the patience of saints despite being bombarded with never ending requests. The entertainment people were fun and not in your face. The view from the balcony onto unfinished buildings on the opposite side of the valley took a bit of getting used to but then was easy to ignore. The warmth and sunshine made up for most things that were not 100%. We did a 2.5 hour dolphin trip booked with the diving place on Taurito beach, from Puerto Rico, which turned out to be quite amazing as we came across a pod of whale calves and lots of dolphins. The skipper Jose seemed to know where to go. We also booked a horse riding trip which was enjoyable. Not sure though what the resort would be like in high season when there are lots more people. I would go again, and make sure to book the same hotel.

Just got back from this Hotel on 27th March 2014. we were in room 432A. We live in Lanzarote and came over on the ferry. We have been to Gran Canaria before and stayed in the eugenia Victoria. Witch was a fantastic hotel. I have to first start with the staff at Costa taurito, from the first step in to the hotel the staff were absolutely fantastic and very helpful throughout. The rooms were very good with nice clean bedding and cleaning service. Now this is were it all goes wrong. For a so called four star hotel the food served from morning till night is without a doubt the worse food i have ever experienced in all our stays in any hotel. It was so bad that we were forced to eat out after paying for all-inclusive. Lack of variety and quality and whatever was left from the earlier service was reused to make a salad or pasta dish. Like i said before, we stayed at the eugenia Victoria last year and that is only a 3 star and the food put paradise costa taurito to shame, It was pure slop. It really spoiled our stay. We thought by staying at a 4 star instead of a 3 star that we would of had a better all round experience not at all. We were looking at staying in the paradise valle taurito hotel in October with our family of 11 but we are definitely changing that idea. Don´t chance this hotel, you will be very disappointed. I find it hard to believe that the good reviews on here are true at all.

Room Tip: Don,t bother. Look for some were els.

Just got back from this hotel and having read certain reviews before we went wondered if we had done the right thing, well some people need to stop whining about silly things like wi fi and towels(so petty)and start to see positive things in life,we found this hotel spot on,the adults only thing is a great idea as u can still go down to were all the kids are and still use the all inclusive in the outside bar in the plaza and in the water park and when you've had enough you can toddle back to the laid back setting of your own hotel bar, food is up there with the best 4stars we had stayed in,the hotel itself is spotless and the animation team are such a refreshing bunch, and a special word for the bar man anmari,he is such a great fella always smiling and nothing too much for him, would deffo go back there that's for sure

Just stayed at Paradise Costa, the rooms were clean and tidy and have everything you need. The all inclusive is quite restrictive, only beer available at the pool. Only a small selection of spirits available at the hotel bar. Food was very smiliar for lunch, dinner and breakfast, very smiliar and re used, fresh fruit was offered, but the pear, apples and bannas were all rotten. A number of guests challenged the chef on the selection and he just went on the attack with the guests and said they should come earlier yet the restuarant was open for another 2 hours. wouldnt recommend.

Just back from a relaxing weeks holiday. All staff very friendly, helpful and funny. The hotel and room was clean and tidy. The location good with plenty of amenities, beach and water park in walking distance. Bus and taxi stops available, with access to the island - bus - Puerto Mogan 2.80 euro. A week of sun and temp mid 20s, swimming pool excellent along with the pool bar.
Food was very good with good selection every day, it was a little samey, but you would not go hungry.

I had my 50th birthday and a special thank you to the management for the gift received.

I like trying new destination and never return to the same hotel but on this occasion we would I would also recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Thank you to all staff for a great holiday.

Room Tip: We had a room central point over the dining area, good views towards the sea for morning and evening...

Just back from a week at this hotel and we very much enjoyed it. Although I reckon one of the main reasons was down to some really nice hotel residents we befriended.

It must be said the staff were excellent (all very friendly), the food was v good (a little samey) and the booze quality was fine! Anmar the barman was just great- always a smile and great fun. The entertainment team (or animation) were a lovely bunch; young and enthusiastic to get all involved. They laid on some surprisingly good evenings in the hotel; a top quality soul singer, fashion show, even a birds of prey night which was kinda strange in the lounge at night, but it worked.

This is now an adults only hotel which we though was a brilliant idea. The hotel seemed to cater for mostly 40 & 50 year olds (on average). Location was good too with easy access to lovely Mogan and Puerto Rico etc.(easy bus or taxis), although the local beach was ok.

Gripes? Hard to list, maybe charging for the wifi & towels for pool.

For the money it is worth it. Would we go back- yes.

Room Tip: Top floors, i.e. 2nd or 3rd. Most ground floor rooms have a path right in front of their outside ta...

There are many very good things about this hotel/complex. The staff are friendly and helpful, the activities suitable for a range of ages, the food good. It is not fully all-inclusive as there are charges for wi-fi and pool towels. A courtesy bus a couple of times a day to one of the nearby beaches or villages would be a big improvement. As it is it is too dangerous to walk on the roads around Taurito.
