Absolutely fantastic apartment. The living accommodation is spot on and then the roof terrace is the perfect icing on the cake. Thank you to Kai the owner who answered every query I had before arriving thoroughly and promptly. We are looking forward to our return. Steve
We had a weeks reservation booked with Kai S for april 2018, and unfortunately the airline cancelled the flight and due to other issues we were unable to stay the period requested . Kai was very understanding and helpful, we are hoping to rebook with him next year.
This is the third occasion we have stayed in the Puerto de Mogan area in recent years so we knew what we were looking for, with both facilities and location, on this holiday. I am pleased to say that apartment no 322 in the marina area was exactly what we wanted. I have to say the roof terrace was the main attraction and it certainly lived up to its description. Great views all around, nice furniture (good size table/chairs and loungers) and having a sink, fridge and bbq made for two weeks of outdoor living. Whilst it gets the sun all day there are also good areas of shade when needed. The apartment inside had everything required for our two week stay and was clean & comfortable. The almost daily cleaning made it like a hotel service as this included beds being made up, towel changes and rubbish collection. We would certainly stay again and have already given a recommendation to friends.
Stayed at the marina mogan ,( little Venice) apartments beautifully laid out with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday we even had a private rooftop patio which had sun beds & table & chairs not to mention a cooling off shower!!!lots of restaurants but very quiet no entertainment, Daytime was lovely ,
Fantastic location, right on the doorstep of all the amenities in Puerto de Mogan. Literally 30 seconds to the Marina and the beach. A host of restaurants, all close by.
The apartment was clean, and adequately equipped, including wi-fi and internet TV. There is a small balcony off the living room, overlooking a well maintained grass area, large enough for two people to sit at a small table. The roof terrace, accessible from external stairs, has a barbecue and comfortable sun loungers. There is a roofed pergola which offers shade if eating at the table, or just some respite from the sun, a food prep area and sink, bur most importantly, a fridge to keep the beers cool !! The bedroom has twin beds. There are ceiling fans in the bedroom, and living room, complimented by air con. The cleaning / towel change service is frequent. There is a small supermarket just across the road for daily essentials, but a 5 minute walk will take you to a larger Spar, which is cheaper (by far), and has a wider selection. There are loads of restaurants, some good, some not so. Trip Adviser is fairly accurate in their description and quality. The staff outside many are quite annoying, trying to entice you in. These are more evident along the beach promenade, as opposed to the Marina.
If there are downsides to this apartment, it is the proximity to the road, and the general chaotic day to day lives of the Spanish (especially the taxi drivers on the rank outside), who appear to only be able to shout at each other across the street. We find the Spanish and their way of life quite endearing, others may find it an annoyance. There is also a restaurant right next door, so you do experience their enticing aromas, which make you hungry, rather than being unpleasant. The roof terrace is shielded from adjoining terraces by natural planting and when we were there, there was no one on the other ones, but I would think that there would be minimal privacy, both audibly and visually, should they have been occupied.
The Friday market is on the doorstep, but we found it mainly selling the usual tourist tat, and of course, the fake handbags. If you like pan pipe music, there is a stall right next door that bellows it out between 9am and 4pm on market day.
Overall, a great little apartment, that enjoys the sun all day, and is in a fantastic location. Puerto de Morgan is not a party town, and basically shuts down about midnight, apart from a couple of bars that you can find down a side street near to the beach. There are boat / submarine trips from the Marina, with a water bus that takes you to nearby resorts, or you can just sit and enjoy the people watching!!
I would recommend booking, and would certainly consider returning, should we visit the area again. Take advantage of their offer of Airport transfer. Door to door is 55 Euros, but only takes 25 minutes, rather than the 2 hours on a shared transfer.
We are very impressed with apartment no 322 (owned by Kai). Very clean and lots of space for 3 of us. The roof top terrace is excellent and gets the sun all day and all restaurants/bars are within easy walking distance. Would definitely recommend to other travellers but not particularly travellers with young children. We will be back. The photos I have attached are of the view from our roof top terrace and the 3 of us after a few too many sangrias!
